Lemieux passed on the fight with Saunders. Over at the scene.

Since it is a title fight and it's for the only other belt in the MW division, I think willie will engage much more. I think this will be his last title shot so he will give bjs a good fight. I still think bjs is more talented and will win by UD

I understand your point of view, but is Monroe even remotely world class?
I have serious doubts about that. I mean he beat Vera and Gabe Rosado,
neither guy is known for a high level boxing skillset, and he beat the kid
on the boxeo tournament. There's nothing else that I can even point to
for Monroe being even close to top 10. It's problematic that Saunders
fights to the level of his opponents but a lot of guys do. He may be
on borrowed time but I don't think
    Saunders loses this one.

So Lemeiux has ducked out of the Jacobs and now Saunders fight in the space of a few weeks. Doesn't look good for him.

Honestly a very good replacement for Khurtsidze. Wildly different look stylistically than what BJS was prepping for. Probably had to scramble to find a whole new team of sparring partners.

I'm mostly just scoffing at the people confident in BJS ability to win this fight convincingly.. I think he'll win, albeit in an unimpressive fashion. Like I said earlier in the thread... You'd have to go all the way back to Spike O'Sullivan for a dominant BJS performance, all of his fights that have gone the distance since have been relatively close. Even Ryder...

He scraped by Lee because of his **** poor stamina and only won because of the KD's, he also looked completely terrible in his last fight too. He promised that would be the end of his inactivity and ballooning in between fights but he's done exactly the same this time around.

Monroe is a tricky opponent and if BJS hasn't done something about his grandpa conditioning then this could be very close on the cards.

I'll pick Monroe on points. Partially because Sonders is likely to underrate him (as most people do, especially after Golovkin defeat) and dismiss his skills.

Not disagreeing with you, I just think Monroe isn't the guy that Saunders would snatch a defeat
from the jaws of victory against. The fight itself, will likely be a lukewarm affair
