Billy Joe Saunders wants Gennady Golovkin Super Fight in the summer

    “I need to keep busy. It’s challengers like Bursak, hopefully beating him, moving on to the next level,” Saunders said at today’s press conference to announce the Bursak fight at The O2. “I’m hopefully testing the waters for one of the super-fights. I’m not looking at it as a warm-up or anything – this is a world title fight – I’ll be using it as a training camp and for more ring time. You’ve got Canelo and Khan fighting, and you’ve got Nick Blackwell and Eubank, and you’ve got Golovkin, but I spoke to Frank last week and said I would like the Golovkin fight in the summer. I’m trying to be up there with your Joe Calzaghes and your Ricky Hattons.” from ESB news.

    I hope Billy gets it this summer.:yep

    The fight would be a big gate success IF it were held in the UK where thousands of drunks show up to see a darts match or cricket fight.
    It would do good gate numbers but would fall far from being anything remotely resembling a Super fight.

    Hope he means it and isnt just another boxer who feels he can name drop people while both themselves and the person they name drop are tied into other fights while going very damn quiet when both are free to negotiate something.

    The last vibes i got off BJS and his managment were about not wanting anything to do with GGG. He gets more respect from me facing GGG and getting knocked out than he would by ducking him.

    Yeah, he might hype his name up by keep mentioning a GGG fight in UK, in the same way like Lara calls out GGG on tweeter when GGG has a fight scheduled. :lol::nut

    The Eubank fight did boost Saunders name but only real boxing fans would show up, even for GGG. Goes without saying really but GGG by KO in the 3rd unless Saunders on his bike all night Fury style.

    I guess he will beat Bursak,but I wont bet my house on it.
    GGG? Words are cheap! GGG plays in a different league.Saunders should stick with the Bursaks of this planet.
