Can you name me any other group or minority with as high a rate of 'meltdown' among their boxers?

The only conclusion is that traveller boxers DO have problems at a rate far above other groups in society. It's not possible for a reasonable person to deny it.

    ame any other

The thing is I only know 3 travelling boxers, two fury's, Saunders, and lee. That's not a big enough sample size and the other two don't seem to suffer from the problems Tyson and Saunders does.

That's fine mate I'm not bashing travellers or trying to get you to either one thing that's 4 traveller boxers you know, not 3! :)

Andy isn't really a traveller though is he...he is well and truly a settled person. Top man is Andy.

This. I don't see how BJS can really criticise Eubank Jnr for his antics when it comes to making fights when he never fights. Neither of them in 2016 have done themselves an favors.

Saunders may hold a world title but being a world champion means **** if you don't successfully defend it against top ranked opponents.

If BJS never held the title would his profile be any less than it is now? I think not.

Saunders is simply hoping to land a GGG fight for a payday. I don't believe he even believes he could win, his just going to do everything possible to avoid losing before any possible GGG fight.

Yeah 4 travellers sorry, it's cool I understand it's just your opinion and you could be right about travellers when it comes to boxing but your sample size just isn't big enough to make the claim imo.

Surprisingly Andy Lee is but he just doesn't really talk about it as much whereas Tyson and Saunders embrace it.

No problem mate. Just to clarify I am not going by what you quite rightly say would be a tiny sample....the British lads....I am also taking into account our experience here in Ireland with traveller boxers over the years...both pro and amateur.
There can't Be all that smoke without some fire as they say. Cheers.

Oh fair enough I thought you meant guys at European or world level. I can't comment on any of the fighters in your country which you have first hand experience with.

Looks like there is a good chance Saunders will fight Golovkin next. Big money fight for both and Golovkin prefers to fight Saunders to complete his title collection, at last..............Golovkin by knockout!!!

Billy Joe is a real cherrypicker isnt he. He is not a 'fighting man' at all. All he is interested in is cha-chiiiiiingggg! $$$!

He will likely fight GGG - lose obviously, by ko - but bank serious dosh.
Then he will still have the option of holding CEJ to ransom for a rematch to even the score.
But a serious boxer... one who fights often - no way.
Smart business mover maybe but a hollow champ, sorry..

Got to agree. Which is a shame, because if Billy Joe was a bit more serious he could have one hell of a career.

Granted, he'll have to take his medicine against Golovkin. But he's only 27, and after Golovkin you'd fancy him to do well against the other MWs. And of course, he'll be there when Canelo finally moves to 160. If BJS was in incredible shape and reaching his potential, that could be a great fight.

I find it hard to believe BJS is actually gunna fight GGG. I can't forget when he said 'GGG will do me and Eubanks up on the same night' that ain't the type of comment you make if you plan to fight someone one day. I think he will try to go for the Canelo fight instead more money, exposure and better chance of a win on paper.

I have seen a few interviews with BJS on GGG.

BJS knows that GGG drops him and stops him. He would only take the fight if there was ALOT of money in it, and he was cashing out....

He knows he makes more money from other fights over a period of time

Billy Joe knows he can demand huge money from ggg for that one remaining belt....and from CEJ for the rematch junior so badly needs. He has a hold over both of them. Let's hope he doesn't hold out too long and outsmart himself. Could happen. Serve him right if it did.
