Incredibly talented fighter.

Went to Montreal to watch him against lemieux when he was just phenomenal.

Talk about an hostile atmosphere those Canadians know what it's aboot hahaha.

 

Even Dillian's managing to get back in the ring before him...

 

Unlike Fury there are some elite fighters in his division. Hard to see him beating a close to prime version of GGG

 

Makes Benn look likable this lad.

 

I remember watching Martin Murray fight a prime Gennady Golovkin when aged 32 in 2015 being stopped in round 11. Very good effort from Murray on the night and proved he is a really tough lad after being pummelled in many of the rounds.

GGG would most likely do the same to BJS but he may have edged a points decision as much more skilled and elusive than the tough Murray.

Sadly another good fight not made when Saunders should have been in his prime ready to take on the best.

 

Benn is on a different planet in those stakes.

UK Boxing fans loved his father and willing him to do well when he started as a pro.

Once Hearn gave him his Mr Nasty image to play up to followed by old opponents and millions of eggs, I have never seen a UK fighter so detested.

 

Think it's over for him sadly, he's been a miss.

Bit of a screw loose and not the sharpest tool in the box but he was an entertainer (out the ring anyway)

 

He's someone I just couldn't stand, out of the ring. Good boxer in his prime but came across as an unfunny, more "country" version of Tyson Fury outside the ring. During the fight week with Canelo where he was basically being set up for life in one night, he came across as an arse.

It's a shame this fight fell through. That Khurtsidze had some real power, would have been interesting if he landed on Saunders.

I've started getting IFL recommended to me again on YouTube after skipping it for a long time; also the new "BoxNation" stuff. It's almost a bingo card to see which phrases end up in the title: "BEEF", "{PERSON} GOES IN ON {TOPIC}", "BRUTAL", "INTENSE" and the ubiquitous, tiresome "REACTION" videos that make up about 75% of the library...

Aye. Video of him and Kid Galahad picking on an old guy in the street (filmed by the anti bullying advocate herself Michelle Joy Phelps) labelled as banter by all involved but far from it in reality. Think that was the moment I stopped supporting him

 

Trainer known as Used Condom Ingle from the wancobank gym sniggering away during this incident was also sickening.

 

Does anyone really care?
