    Miske is greatly underrated. I can't wait for that book on him to come out.

    Not a fair match-up. Billy Miske was a LH-heavyweight in his prime tackling heavyweights, whilst Hopkins was truly a middleweight,who was able to fight into his 40s because of the dearth of talent in the lightheavy ranks today...
    I ask you, would Hopkins still be a LH contender in his mid forties in the 1940s era when Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Harold Johnson, Lloyd Marshall, Gus Lesnevich, were around in their primes ? Hell NO...

    I hear you but on this one. Do your research. He was a seriously talented mf'er. Moyle's new book should cast some light on this wrongly forgotten pug.

    but wasnt he fighting in the era of bar fighters and farmhands? why do you make an exception for miske?

    I haven't seen footage of Miske, but he was a level below the best of his time and Hopkins throughout his career has performed at a higher level. Even a 40yo Hopkins should win here and maybe comfortably
