Are you deliberately being obtuse? Parker wanted to face Bakole once he knew it was on the table. If it wasn't, he'd obviously have faced Okolie. The man obviously wanted paid after a long camp and would've faced whoever. It wasn't Bakole or nothing, like you made out. What do the fans have to do with anything? The card had already been sold! And the monstrosity that was Parker vs Bakole proved that the fans aren't always right, are they? We're less than 48hrs past the end of the card and you are calling Dubois a 'big tit' for taking ill and not having rescheduled against Parker?
I don't think Bakole was ever going to win a world title anyway. His ceiling is a similar level to Dillian Whyte. A top 10 contender for sure, but why not fight for the big money when the chance was there?
I think Bakole has the ingredients to become a high level contender providing he can get fights. Perhaps losing to Parker will pay off long term with other dangerous fighters fancying their chances against him moving forward. In reality, Bakole just needs to get through Ajagba (who I know some are high on but is unproven) and he is IBF mandatory and in a good position. With Parker and Kabayel in the mix and DDD v Usyk unification looming he will need to wait. If he takes the role as cleanup guy in the division, his stock will grow again. I don't think it's unreasonable to see Bakole as a Top 5 HW in the near future.
