Billy was on here bragging about Ricky's sparring, the guy spars with little kids and amateur prospects for world title fights.Hes not coming into these fights prepared and that's all down to his trainer,I can only imagine the kind of preparation Beltran had for this fight sparring with the likes of Manny in the Wild card.I had a feeling he would walk right through Burns and a lot if people on here laughed at me.Burns would have been better off dropping the title to save some face and humility because he is not a world champion, not is he even a top 5 lightweight. If Eddie Hearn had any decency he wouldn't have allowed that to happen and tried to get Ray the fair shake,he had a lot to do with that decision tonight and might have also shot himself in the foot, what fighter is gonna want to come to the uk and fight on one if his cards after that.

Far be it for me to defend Mr Nelson but what was he suppose to say?

I think it was quite clear who won and I've not seen one comment claiming Burn's won but in the heat of world title fight with a view from the corner it is possible Mr Nelson saw it closer than what it was, maybe after watching a replay he might come on here say he got it wrong...

OK now you can hurl abuse at me.

    Broner
    gamboa
    crawford
    vazquez
    abril
    figueroa
    Beltran
    Demarco

Although i know some are not fully tested yet but i'd say all these fighters are above ricky in the lightweight division. Heck maybe linares would beat him too

    Not to mention

    Shafikov
    Yordan
    Bogere
    Molina jr
    Jose Gonzalez

And a host of others who I would probably give a good chance beating Burns too.Hes way down the pecking order imo. That strap is only think keeping in there and he shouldn't even be Champion.

Listening to Billy Nelson's instructions in the corner between rounds it was clear he thought Burns was getting beat up. He kept telling him to "wake up and concentrate". Then it was just "keep your hands up" and in the end "you still want to be world champion you need to give me 6 big minutes".

Billy knew what was happening to Burns.

    shocking decision!!

Some of these judges really do have no clue what they are watching.

Yes its a fight but a broken Jaw is still a broken jaw. Very painful and of course its gonna effect burns from 2nd round onwards.

Give Billy a chance to see watch the fight on reflection, not in the heat of the moment. Even his die hard fans can see he clearly lost this fight. Would have had alot of respect had Burns handed the belt over after the decision. In doing so though he would have been basically giving away hundreds of thousands of £££'s. Not sure where he goes from here either.

Ricky would still beat 7 shades of **** out of Crolla. Even with a broken jaw.

    Give over.

I like and rate Crolla, but Burns is streets ahead of everyone domestically at LW

Ricky showed heart but he clearly lost that fight. Gutting to see Beltran robbed like that. It's not Billy or Ricky's fault this happened. Billy's alway's going to say his fighter's the n1, trainers always big up their champions. It's not like Floyd Mayweathers in his division. This forum's full of absolute Clowns.
