Billy Nelson on ringside

The Gonzalez fight showed a lot about Ricky it showed his heart and will to win other fighters could have given up when they were finding it tough like that especially after being hurt in round 7 but after he took everything in that round Ricky fired back a cracking uppercut that took everything away from Gonzalez and turned the fight.

 

Cheers bill, totally agree if he's (gonzales) still got the heart for it anyway, he seemed a bit dejected in an interview a bit after the fight as if maybe world level boxing was too much for him, not ability wise, but maybe heart, stamina wise. We'll soon find out.

Yeah was a quality shot jordan, dont say that on here though, because you'll get the same people with the same opinions going over the same ground .

Anyway moving on from Gonzales...we've got a very good fighter of our own in Ricky Burns...massive fight coming up from what i ve heard about crawford...should be a *******!

 

Billy Nelson reminds me of arsene wenger makes people Into champions turns a average boxer in Ricky burns into a very classy fighter billy Nelson is very underrated

Ain't u seen a massive improvement in burns over the last 5 years cos I have very underrated just my opinion that's all, how sims work wonders with barker and booth with haye, billy has done the same with Ricky I think he's a lot better then Gallagher and Tibbs

 

When Ricky lost to Carl Johanssen and Alex Arthur did you ever see him as the fighter that would beat Roman Martinez, Michael Katsidis etc? Billy does have to get credit for the way he has brought Ricky on as much as Ricky deserves the credit for improving himself and dedicating himself to the sport and for having the biggest heart I've ever seen in a boxing ring in September.

 

Ricky Burns and Fat Billy are top class....to be taking on all comers from all around the world is Amazing..i am a bit in awe


but comparing billy nelson to arsene wenger is so funny i may wretch

 

I think saying billy is like wenger is an insult to billy, wenger is shite and cant cut it anymore at top level where as billy probably can, we will see March 1st I think ricky and billy have something special lined up for Crawford, burns to me looks hungrier and more focused than I have ever seen him he also seems to have that look on his face that he knows Crawford is going to get it either that or its fear lol but I doubt it as burns is pretty fearless as proved on many occasions.

 

There's definitely a determination to Ricky by watching the buildup to this and everytime he's been the underdog and people have said it's the end of his reign he's pulled it off Martinez no one gave him a hope and everyone was saying Katsidis was going to knock his head off his shoulders and then you had people saying the Mitchell fight was 50/50 lol.

 

the gonzales win may look better in time , but hes no spring chicken at 30 and not having fought since , he may well be finished ?
