    Two polar opposites.

On one hand we have Boston Tom, who was a high volume Tasmanian devil who would often torque away on the inside with a volley/barrel of punches twisting and twirling. A real swarming, perpetual motion, aggressive fighter in the mould of a Jack "doc" Kearns trained fighter. If a tornado was to manifest into a human being, then it would be Boston Tom McMustache.

Then on the other hand we have Billy Pickles. Only until recently, Pickles only existed as a figment of our imagination as stories of his greatness were reduced to whispers around the campfire which helped attain him almost mythical status. Now thanks to Cross_Trainer & Reznick, the first ever footage that is said to be of Pickles, has emerged where he appears to dumbfound & confuse the life out of p4p superstar, Harry Greb. Thanks to Reznick working tirelessly around the clock on the resolution & frame rate of the clip, when slowed to 0.0007x speed, we can just about make out Billy Pickles darting in and out of range as he tires out All Time Great, Greb.

Some would argue that Pickles is already 1-0 over an inferior tornado in Greb, so the style match up might fall in his favour. But boxing doesn't work in triangle theories. I think it depends on the judges. Do you like the cleaner, more efficient work of a Billy Pickles? Or do you like the high output, come forward style of a Boston Tom McMustache?

Discuss. I'd particularly like to hear from @mark ant and the fellas at Quora.

In this forum it is always a safe bet to go with fighter with the least amount of footage. Billy pickles takes this one by ko at 2:17 of the 7th round.

Neil from Quora had this to say,

"I've never heard of them two but if Gus Tomato never died, and if Don King never got a hold of him, then a Prime Mike Tyson would have beat these two on the same night. Now that's settled, who wins in the octagon, Floyd Mayweather or Conor McGregor?".

Disappointed from Quora. We are still none the wiser as to who would win in the aforementioned super bout.

Well Holmes had a tendency to drop his right hand and leaving himself open for a big left hook.

One thing I know for certain: Conor's old school martial arts skills would destroy modern superheavyweights like Jeffries in the Octagon.

The Akwardness of Boston Tom McMustache is so apparent when you watch him shadow boxing. You can see the volley/barrages of punches twisting and twirling. Mikey Walker said he was in front of me with his back turned and before I could respond he punched me in the faced. His legs were described as being like rubber.

Gene Tunney said Billy Pickles was never in the same place for more than 2 seconds. What is often overlooked is Billy Pickle's footwork and overall movement. He was not this slugger who stood right in front of you. Bouncing in and out twisting and twirling you with his hand on your waist at the same time non stop punching with incredible stamina and a mighty chin. His offense and movement was his defense my #1 Greatest Heavyweight/Middleweight of all time.

For a moment, I wondered whether this thread was about Mysterious Billy Pickles or Michigan Billy Pickles, since both fighters sparred Harry Greb in identical footage.

And then I realized that the wiley old trapsmith had fooled me once again. The thread's ambiguity meant that it could only be Mysterious Billy Pickles, whose evasive abilities against boxing historians are legendary.

...or maybe that's just what he *wants* you to think.

Why have we never done a thread devoted to this...we might just be able to answer this age old question once and for all.

But then that leads on to the next question...Does the mysterious Billy Pickles survive the explosion of the universe by manifesting into a different dimension?
