Unless Nunn knocks him out, soose will secure victory on the cards and have cries of robbery screamed at him.

For some reason or other he received the benefit in various close fights with his contemporaries most notably of whom was overlin I think.

I don't know whether he was a mob fighter or not bit nearly all his biggest wins are questionable.

I rate Soose highly based on his wins over Maurello and Zale. Also, from what I've read he didn't embarress himself in his loss to Burley. Unfortunately he did embarress himself against Georgie Abrams.

From what I've read Abrams was very clever, which allowed him to run Sugar Ray and Cerdan extremely closely, with sizeable contigents in the audiences of both fights believing that Abrams had won. That's what Ring Magazine printed at the time. Regardless, for all his brains, Abrams' talent level wasn't anything off the charts that would excuse Soose from losing basically every round against him in their three fights.

Soose was clearly quality but if the Overlin bout is any indication he would have been badly outclassed by Nunn. For all his demons that would crop up later in his career, Nunn was an amazing, 'next-level' talent at his peak.

Not sure on this match up...Will say that Nunn was capable of upsetting quite a few highly regarded middleweights.
