Having watched the fight again, the advice Billy was giving to Burns was spot on, and when he took the advice he was doing well and keeping Beltran at bay.

But Burns could not keep it up and his punches coming forward looked like slaps and inside of the wrist rather than real punches. and was leaving himself wide open. looked like his boxing skills had left him and looked a little amatuerish. BUt i feel if he had or could have stuck to a game plan and the advice Billy was giving him he maybe could have won in a boring way.

But all that said it was a disgraceful decision and Beltran won by 3 rounds minimum for me.

I feel that British boxing is corrupt and the judging was obviously biased, and it really does not want me to watch **** like this anymore.

and anyone who thinks it was a draw is only connected to Burns camp

they all should of (Billy , Burns and Hearn) admitted that Burns should have lost.

I remember when Ritchie Woodhall admitting he lost a fight and that the other should have been the world champion, think it was against Glenn Catley but not sure. But it made him look a man.

Don't think i will watch any of Hearn matches again knowing that he can bribe judges

A minor point- how can slapping with the inside of the wrist be considered "amateurish" when if you punched like that in amateur boxing youd get no points? Only in the pro game would any credit be given for punches that wernt clean.

Billy's advice and tactics were good, no blame can be put on him for that. My only complaint is the level of sparring Ricky has been receiving, going from good young prospects to world level fighters is too big a jump, some more quality needed.

And rightly so , the respect between the 2 has gone. More so ricky towards Billy. Both nice guys but if that's the case Ricky needs to move on.

Rumour has been around a while, with that much smoke there is defo a fire. He's lost a few fighters last year or 2 and they're not very complimentary about him.

I know mate , a like ricky and billy but ricky needs to do what's best for his career now and if that's another trainer than so be it. Sure Billy will deny this but it's true.

If the respect has gone then it defo has to happen. I heard Ricky was close to leaving when the others left, not because he aint a good trainer but for whatever reason they were unhappy with his behaviour.....whatever that was.

That's his 2 choices really, not sure what I'd do in Ricky's shoes. I think with the newborn bady then Danny Vaughan may be the only choice if leaving, has done really well with Matthews and Simmons, been impressed with him.
