Would anyone have any information, or confirm any stories, on this guy. I know he fought in the midlands predominately in the 70s. I have heard 2 great tales about this guy and would love to hear more. Heard he sat on his stool between rounds and would read the newspaper for a laugh, or write out a bet. He just sounds like a character id like to hear more about.

It was what he billed himself as. The Bull Ring back then was the markets area of Birmingham, where he worked. Looking at his record, 4 of his 6 wins were inside the distance so he could punch, and only 2 of his 11 losses were stoppages so he obviously had a decent defence. Maybe if he'd taken it seriously he could have been a good prospect.
