Yep, heard he was badmouthing a bit before hand but its kind of a given nowadays in combat sports. the day a fighter says "i'm gonna get beat" pre-fight is the day I stop watching
Spot on B/S thats my feeling towards it too. I shall no longer be trying to force myself to 'get' the sport.
same boat as you m8. i've been watching it on/off for a while now but after ufc100 which was hyped so much it turned out to be shite. and the lack of self control by hendo, and people trying to defend him is unbelieveable, he's a grown man and knew what he was doing, even post fight he was a cocky little ****. hope he gets KO'd in his next fight, fortunately i wont be watching anymore.
People say its within the rules. Maybe the rules need to be looked at ? Rules are there to protect the fighter. Also does it say you can hit an already knocked out opponent ? Hendo admitted he knew he was knocked out. Just because it happens all the time in MMA just shows what an accident waiting to happen that sport is. Most sports evolve all the time to protect their participants. MMA needs to. Regardless of the rules Henderson took a cheap shot on an already stricken opponent, if he continues to fight he too will be in a position when he cannot defend himself, if his opponent whales away he can have no complaints. The guy has no class end of.
Completely agree, I'm really glad to see other boxing fans feel the same. As soon as one fighter hits his fallen opponent, that's where my interest ends. It's savagery and will **** up boxing's (very good) chances of getting back on mainstream tv by tarring all us fight fans with the same brush. Sickening how the worst geeks and cruel inadequates love this pretend-gladiator stuff too. I'm not saying all MMA fans are like this but the most vocal are unfortunately.
