Lol why should a retiring 39 year old have to fight 1 of the best in the division in his last fight, not sure you would expect it from anybody else in his situation but because of your clear disdain for Bisping you put the highest expectations on him. He already has overachieved by holding the record amount of wins in the UFC and by becoming the champion ,impressively doing it outside his prime and right at the end of his career.Im sure he will finish up against another rated fighter but his days of needing to prove anything to anyone are over, especially you and his many other haters who have already made up there mind about him

Yeah as a farewell fight I want something with a bit of story behind it.

Legacy wise a fight with GSP again is the best option. Failing that a fight Whitaker is preferred.

Then any of Jacare, Romero, Weidman or Rockhold would enhance his resume greatly.

But to be totally honest, I want him away from the title scene now, he set a dangerous precedent with his title run.

Lets see the big guns actually face each other.

    GSP vs Whitaker
    Romero vs Jacare
    Rockhold vs Weidman.

If Bisping wins against Gastelum hes probably the 7th in the division, but why should we miss out on those excellent fights for the sake of him?

A fight with Brunson would be the best realistic fight I would match him in, but I'd prefer the story of his loss to Belfort, especially with Belfort winning against the great.

I like most of your suggestions and agree that he doesn't need to be fighting anybody in the immediate title scene except maybe Rockhold to complete there trilogy, but I don't want to see that tbh because while I wont call Bispings win a fluke I think Rockhold is a lot better and would win easily.

He wont fight Rockhold. Not a chance. It will be Belfort as **** as it is. And as Bisoing fights to his level it will not be a fun fight

I just want him picking a competitive opponent for his last fight there will be plenty wanting it ,Im not a big Bisping or Rockhold fan either but Rockhold is far more dangerous and wins easily

You're talking about him like he's nothing.

Mike was just the champ and beat a great fighter to win that belt.

Good point about the precedent. Great point, actually.

I think the last two cards the UFC have done, there's a feeling in the air that things will return back to normal. Hopefully that is evident with Mike out of the title picture, and the other contenders fighting each other.

The first minute will be competitive against Belfort lol.

Rockhold didn't win easily last time though.

Exactly. Him beating one of the top contenders would mean he likely gets another title shot, and who wants him as champion again?

Let him have his swansong miles away from the ranked contenders.

    Are you actually Mike himself?

Outside of his prime? Like his prime was anything special anyway.

    I honestly detest the man.

Nobody has a good word for him
He ducked the best when champ
His hard man act is appalling
His accent is a mixture of yorkshire crossed with american surfer
    He wasn't exciting to watch
Was the worst champ since Dave Menne

    No f*ck off, you cretin.

    Very valid point.

Just so happens that the top guys like Romero & Rockhold actually have history with him, so I'd like to see the lid put on it.

But if facing a lower tier guy, who will not warrant another title shot if Mike wins, means he's well out of title contention, then I'm all for it.

Besides, there's MANY exciting fights to be made without him.

WOW LOL guess you have a weak spot when it comes to Bisping that prevents you being able to see rationally or handle a basic discussion.Did he try hitting on your boyfriend or make you look even more stupid then you do here?I don't even know why your upset at me,Im not even a fan of Bisping and a lot of his past actions including some of your examples but unlike you I am able to recognise his efforts in stepping in to fight Gastelum. Now since you want to act like a spoilt little oxygen thief who didn't get his way there isn't any use for further discussion with you.Now you go cool off and have a little break diddums

LOL at some of the replies

Who cares who he fights? Its not gonna be anyone big

As pointed out the most important thing is to get the stacked division moving again

GSP vs Whittaker (if GSP doesnt vacate)
Romero vs Rockhold is a hell of a match up
Weidman vs Souza is pretty damn intriguing too
