ok dare i say it i'm a brit so will be routing for Bisping tonight but does anyone think he can actually beat silva ?? Reading through the internet there seems to be some serious lack of respect for Bisping with the concensus being that he will get his head knocked clean off his shoulders !

personally i think this could be a geat fight and i'm sure that his humbling at the hands of Henderson is a good thing for him ...if Bisping somehow managed to beat Silva does that propel him back to the top 5 at MW ??

I do. In fact, I'm picking him to win. I really like Silva (his demolishing of Keith Jardine made me an MMA fan) but he's fighting at 185 for the first time in god knows how many years. Not only that but his come forward brawler style is going to play right into Bisping's pillow fisted hands. I expect him to basically fight on the back foot all night and wait til Wandy gasses. If (when?) that happens, Bisping will pot shot his way to a decision win unfortunately.

Here's hoping we do have some Axe Murderer magic left.

If Wand doesn't dominate the fight (not just win), its time to retire. Bisping is pretty much a can but he's from England and the UFC can use him to market themselves there.

Most people who watched the fight think Bisping was robbed vs Evans rememebr that.

I disagree that Bisping is a can. As awesome as that Hendo KO was, Bisping is a skilled fighter, and I fully expect him to beat Wandy tonight.

I won't be suprised one bit if he beats Wand.

I'm interested to see how the cut has affected Wand too.

Wand could turn out to be really fragile at 185.

Ive seen hardley any talk about the possible affects on Wands chin and stamina at 185.

nice to hear some positive comments about bisping on here for a change..

jury is still out for me but it will tell us a lot where he stands...one other thing how come this event is in australia yet still is on at stupid o'clock in the morning ??? i take it this is purely to suit the US market as ever ...god forbid they have to stay up past 10 o'clock at night ? i think the brit fight fans ( boxing and MMA ) are far more hardcore.

most of the time you can barely keep your eyes open waiting for the main event

I have never been a big fan of Bisping although I did support him in his last fight because the atmosphere in Manchester was incredible, just had to join in. His chin isn't great and he doesn't have great power which isn't a good combination against Wandy but for me it depends on how Silva is at the weight. Still think this could be a repeat of the Henderson fight but if Wanderlei is sluggish then Bisping could well outpoint him, just looking forward to a great fight.

Bisping's gameplan in this fight will be the same as against Leben. Whether the fight goes down the same way as the Leben fight depends 100% on how much Silva has left. If he has enough left to be better than Leben is then he could win the fight. I think it'll be a pot shot and move fight though that Bisping will probably win.

To the first part I cannot agree. I hope Silva takes Bisping's jaw off with a punch and Bisping quits MMA.

To the second part. Yes, if Bisping wins, he is certainly a top 5.

Bisping is barely top 10 MW if he beats Silva.

If Wanderlei made weight comfertably then he wins by horrible KO. If he struggled and is weak then maybe Bisping might dance and potshot to a decision.
