I think Ward will win the super 6 series!

Props to Kats if he gets the marquez fight but he's way over his head there & will get stopped, simply too brave for his own good.

Bika finally gets a long awaited fight against a quality opponent, just hope ring rust doesn't become his biggest hurdle.

If Danny Green doesn't stop playing games with the hardest negotiater in the boxing world & just give him his coin, then he will unfortunately see Roy take his place against Nard. Most Americans think Roy was cheated by hand wraps or illegal punch or whatever so they still would pay to see the long awaited rematch. If that happens where does that leave Green...........Siaca........please......just sign on to fight Hopkins & be done if its not about the money & all about names.

 

Good to see this going ahead, must have been in talks for awhile - I'd heard whispers of it when the fight was supposed happen 2nd half of last year.

 

How long since sakio last fought?

 

Was just thinking about Allen Green this morning, thanks to Ben.K Allen has been discussed in other forums. This will be an interesting fight.

I think Green will give Sakio all he can handle...the inactivity is going to really show i reckon and Green is a better boxer with just as good power as Sakio IMO

Hopefully 1 of the 2 fights can be made rather than fighting Siaca.

 

What would be even better is that Green smashes Hopkins to pieces and then takes on Tarver down under.....then Adamek down under.....then Dawson down under...then world domination down under.....:thumbsup

 

I'd like to see nothing more than Danny smashing Tarver but I really hope the Hopkins fight comes into play.

 

Nothing like a local lad fighting world class opponents in his own back yard to get the level of interest in the sport higher mate , it happend here with the likes of Calzaghe , Maccerinelli etc , the gyms are teaming with kids wanting to be the next Superstar , Wales like Australia has a proud history of providing guttsy fighters but that tradition had been flagging a tad over recent years , Australia providing World Class boxers is a win win situation all round for the sport . Just imagine the amount of kids that would be drawn to the gyms if Greenie went on a march like you just suggested .

 

I agree...the profile of boxing in Aus really flagged after Jeff was smash into next week.
Kostya was loved by all who embraced boxing but i dont think he inspired to many youngsters and thier parent into gyms here with his world dominating heroics. To be honest KT was seen as a bit of a boxing freak here, knocking internationals out both here and O/S.
At the turn of the centuary and before, Australia was the place for international fighters to jump on a ship and sail to for big fights with big paydays. Right now with Greeny gunning for big names the interest here is bursting at the seams. Even if BHop is a no show the likes of Tarver and Adamek will sell out Acer Arena, ****, if Green came back to the West right now he would sell out Subiaco (choose your international opponent)......this kind of public support is a throw back to the golden days.
I really hope that some smart operators behind other guys like Vic, Kats, Willie Tomlinson (there are plenty) get on the band wagon and put on some super shows down under while the iron is hot. Take advantage of the momentum.
Time to cash in boys, get your gloves on!!!

Yep , even frindge contenders that wrangle their way to a World title shot can earn serious money when they have a named gym & promoter behind them , here Gavin Rees won a REAL world title whilst fighting out of Enzo Calzaghe's gym , Lockett earn't enough money for being slapped around by Pavlik to set himself up for life as a result of being in the right place at the right time , Macca got smashed by Haye but he was fighting for the undisputed cruiser title at the time ,ching ching ,,,all this on the back of Joe's succsess .

Flamer , No he ain't a god ala a Gareth Edwards or Barry John type but he is well known , he won the British Sports personality of the year last year and its unheared of here for a boxer .
