They don't belong as part of the all time lhw gauntlet.

I personally am skeptical putting either of them in a "LHW gauntlet".

I haven't seen anything that says these are two of the greatest LHWs I've ever seen in my life. They are really good...................for this era. Personally I think Dariusz would beat both. There's LHWs from the 90s and 80s that are definitely not ATGs that I think would have them both in Hell. And this ain't disrespect as I speak highly about both Beterbiev and Bivol, I just personally don't see them being teleported back in time and duplicating their current success.

I think Hopkins belongs there, considering the W´s he has had at the weight. After all, he was the oldest man to win a title.
But by there, I mean somewhere in the top 30 or so. LHW has a rich history and it´s hard to make it to the top 10 or even 20.

Yep LH was so loaded with great fighters it's mind boggling and again, it's very unfair to the current guys because the past ATGs proved themselves under much more difficult circumstances. The older guys learned "on the job" so to speak, under much heavier duress and this is why they were so much better at thinking quick and making adjustments. If they were too slow-witted to adjust at any time during a fight, they were doomed. They weren't able to study their opponents for months & months before a fight because they fought too often. Guys nowadays sometimes get years to learn their foes.

The learning from fighting frequently against better comp is invaluable, there's nothing to replace it in my estimation.

I can´t remember who said it but: "Imagine stepping in the ring with Mayweather and having never seen him fight before". Yea, good luck with that. Of course this doesn´t apply to just Floyd.
Willie Pep was a unique fighter in his time. When most had a similar, come forward style, pep was the polar opposite. How do you prepare for that in mere weeks?

Pep and Mayweather are rodents. Beterbiev is a big, strong man. You don't find men like that in the little guy divisions. Mayweather and Pep never had to deal with that in their careers.

You completely missed my point. Good for you.
But since you brought it up: Floyd and Pep had to deal with guys their size. Just like Beterbiev has to deal with guys his size. And it depends how far back in history you go, but at certain point Beterbiev would have been a heavyweight. Those divisions have always been and are still filled with brutes. And at the end of the day, it´s skills that win fights, not just raw power. Heck, Beterbiev just got dragged into a war by Yarde.

The higher up in weight you go the more power and strength matters. It would be difficult to fight like Pep or Mayweather in the LHW division, let alone HW division. You have to bring your balls with you and fight in the higher weight classes.
