He beat Canelo. He beat the 3 corrupt judges. He also beat the crooked referee Russell Mora who tried to save Canelo. 25 seconds left in Rd 8 a fatigued Canelo slumps to the floor after a "push" from Bivol. Canelo gets up and Referee warns Bivol. Ok. But Bivol then unleashes a body/head combo that hurts Canelo and sends him stumbling. The Referee jumps in AGAIN to stop the action to warn Bivol for pushing, when this time there was no push. Ref could tell that Canelo was hurt and wanted to give him a breather. Bivol fought a clean fight but was warned for every little thing throughout. In close fights this kind of thing could shift the momentum of a fight. Luckily Bivol was light years ahead of Clenelo last night.
But Mora is Team Canelo flavour of the month, he was in the Plant fight & his credentials has to rate alongside Adelaide Byrd, Bob Bennet etc as was banned from refereeing for life by the IBF after his astute performance in Abner Mares debacle...Yay Team Canelo full of "Surprises"...
