What say you?? I think he wins a highly competitive, compelling UD or late tko.. Interestingly some suggest he's the new Kovalev, for me this comparison isn't totally acurate. If anything he reminds in some ways of a sort of cross between peak GGG & Andre Ward. I think Kova is a great fighter but his gas tank lately & his apparent discipline & mental issues raise a red flag..

Bivol is the goods.. Along with Loma, Crawford, Usyk etc I feel he's among the best pure boxers operating today. Very special fighter..

    How do u see it?

Intriguing match up... I think now it's Bivol's fight... And Bivol is still getting better.

This will be a good one! I think Kovalev wins a competitive back and forth war by late TKO or UD. He might have to even get up from the deck in doing so.

Bivol ain't ready yet for the Krusher.

Barrera wouldn't have lasted 6 rds with the newly improved Sergey last night.

Both are Main Event fighters, are they not?
And the story at the moment is that Bivol and Kovalev will be on the same card but not fighting each other. Which is complete BS. Just get the fight done with.

HBO tried to set up Kova vs Stevenon and it backfired. Then they tried to set up Kova vs Ward and that took over a year to get together. And it was a financial flop.
    Now the same with Bivol?
Just amke Kova vs Bivol and have Smith Jr. and Barrera also on card but not in with each other. Make it a solid triple header.
Sets up every fighters next fight as well.

He's learning to stand, slip and counter.
Not very visible last night because it was a sparring match, but i liked what i saw vs Shabransky.

He looked like he always does with Shaba. I think he rushed the Shaba fight.

Maybe he will finally make small adjustments but Kova is as good as it gets. He only lacks an elite inside fighting ability but otherwise he is damn perfect.

Agreed. A trainer with who he has chemistry & a bond with wouldn't hurt either. I suspect top inside fighters with great engines like Beterbiev & Bivol would be a nightmare for him. Though Beterbiev is too inactive but I like that he's supposedly moved to top rank... if he indeed has! I read also that that was fake news, has he? What's the story on this? Anyone?

Smith Broke his jaw and hand last fight.

They're both main event fighters but chances of Kovalev-Smith next are slim.
