What was the guys name he beat to win the WBA? I honestly cannot remember and I watch a lot of boxing. Chilemba, Joe Smith and Ramirez are solid defenses, but those are limited fighters. And Canelo lost to a 35 year old GGG and a 36 year old Mayweather. Bivol is a goddamn LHW. A prime LHW cant make his name off Canelo. It's Beterbiev or nothing.
WBA has been the middle child of the big 3 for as long as I can remember. WBO the stepkid - You really can't blame Bivol for chasing Canelo again though. I hope Canelo ducks the rematch.
Bivol has said he's not very interested in facing Clenelo again. But I'm guessing he has to because of the rematch clause.
Bivol has ten title defenses with wins over Canelo, Zurdo, Joe Smith Jr, Barrera and Pascal. The only big names he's missing are Beterbiev and Buatsi.
