Bivol is good, but CLEARLY not on Loma/Usyk level

In-Jin Chi, who gave prime Erik Morales a hell of a fight, was extremely tough SOB. Kostya Tszyu was better than Bivol and he is half-Korean too just like Dmitry is.

He didn't stop Chilemba, the injury stopped Chilemba(who after the fight take a big rest), and i think that injury came couple rounds early. In one moment Chilemba just stopped to throw punches.Till 6 round the fight was very competitive, even in 4th or 5th round they show statistics that Chilemba landed against Gvozdyk more total(or power) punches! But the injury came(or it became too painful) somewhere in 6 round i think, and from "landed more punches than Gvozdyk", statistics was changed fast for 2 rounds(still not so good like Bivol's fight, Gvozdyk's defense wasn't that good, too big percent of successful power punches landed from his opponent, 39%).

Sure it was, fighters have never exaggerated an injury to get out of a fight have they? Chilemba is a warrior, he'd have fought through it, like many do when fighting with an injury, Sergio Martinez tried to fight with one leg. Cut the bull****, Isaac was looking in a bad way for the last few rounds, like he was on the verge of being stopped, Chilemba goes the distance because he's good at taking the sting off of punches and slipping many, because his defensive skills are so solid, well Gvozdyk penetrated that defense fairly early and was getting through and doing a number on him, a more solid number than both Kovalev and Bivol did. The fact remains, Gvozdyk landed almost as many punches in 8 rounds as Bivol landed in 12.

You can be a warrior against someone who isn't on your level, but with broken hand against Gvozdyk isn't smart. He try, but we all saw what happened in last rounds.Ok, Loma was a warrior(and i think his hand wasn't broken), eat that knockdown and beat Linares later, but that was from much worse opponent and still after the injury Lomachenko was different. If injury in the fight is nothing for you, than you should tell that Lomachenko is veeery overrated? : )
Even if you take the rounds with the injury, still Gvozdyk landed less, and eat more than Bivol, you will tell "but that was for less rounds", ok, simple logic, for less rounds(8) he take so many punches, that Chilemba without injury, even for 12 rounds was unable to land against Bivol(you should look not only what comes to Chilemba's face, but also Gvozdyk's face and body), + huge difference in successful punches landed against them.

Typical reactionary boxing fans. Bivol did a better job on Barrera than Ward, better job on Agnew than Kovalev etc. Can't see how people rate Gvodsyk over him.

    Because..

Gvozdyk did a better job on Chilemba than Bivol. Before Bivol.
Gvozdyk did a better job on Conceicao than Bivol. Before Bivol.
Gvozdyk did a better job on Gonzalez than Pascal and Shabranskyy.
Gvozdyk did a better job on Sierra than Jack and Browne.
Gvozdyk did a far better job on Mohammedi than Kovalev.

For the record, Browne's stoppage over Sierra came a round before Gvozdyk's, but it was due to the cuts Gvozdyk inflicted on him a few months prior reopening, ironically Sierra was starting to take over against Browne when they so convenienetly stopped it.

I disagree about the Agnew one. Agnew was trying to counter Kovalev and was taking risks. Against Bivol Agnew spent the entire fight shelled up. You can claim Bivol was forcing Agnew to shell but Bivol wasn't exactly landing any more than Kovalev did. Bivol also spent a portion of that match looking confused with how to get past Agnews guard.

To me, Gvodsyk has looked far more vulnerable than Bivol has in their respective careers to date. Getting dropped by Karpency, looking very average against c level guys in Amar and Baker. He seems to switch off a lot and I don't feel he has a win as good as Barrera on his resume so I struggle to rate him above Bivol. To me Gvodsyk has that waiting to be KTFO vibe about him. Might be wrong, we will see.
