Bivol is just a better boxer than Canelo. Size didn't play a part in the result

Bivol does not possess good 175 power. He won because he boxed Canelo's jaws

 

What is the evidence Bivol weighed more?
Has it been confirmed or reported that he weighed more?

 

Canelo is built like a bull. He was noticeably thicker and more dense than Bivol. I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol weighed less in the ring.

 

Simple case of a "A good Big Man beats a good Little Man".

Had it been the other way, with Bivol moving up to fight Canelo I would have picked Canelo to win instead.

 

Then why did he choose to fight @ 175 ... maybe to avoid 168 Charlo, Andrade & benevidez...

 

Bivol was the bigger, greater, longer man in this fight otherwise he would have been robbed blind

 

Unfortunately he ran in the wrong direction

Canelo wasn’t a little man last week when everyone was saying he was going up to fight Usyk.

People love to blab about any ridiculous thing on the internet, not sure how this relates to my statement.

 

It wasn’t blab though. They were talking about making a limit of 201.

 

From the sounds of it, Canelo made a stupid remark or joke about fighting Usyk at 201 and everyone just ran with it. If Canelo was really thinking about Usyk and not 100% concentrating on Bivol on fight week then that's all on him.

But my point that Canelo is small for the 175 div still stands.

Every other time Canelo has been in with a faster opponent he's always been able to impose himself physically.

On this occasion he couldn't. His plan B of upping the ante and breaking his opponent down (some might think it a plan A due to his two most recent fights) was not there because he couldn't do that to Bivol.

In round 9 it looked like he could, but with that 1 round being such an anomaly it's hard to tell if it was Bivol taking a round off, or Canelo giving it his all and gassing.

But either way Canelo wasn't able to enforce his will. And that made a huge difference.
