Obviously since he hasn’t beaten Beterbiev yet he won’t be at the top of anybody’s list but guaranteed Bivol will make light work of him and should then be recognised as P4P number 1.
IDK, guaranteeing light work of Beterbiev is certainly not wise. Unless Beterbiev's knee is completely gone I wouldn't bet on it. I will agree if Bivol beats Beterbiev, regardless if it's a schooling or a close points win, I will rate him in the top 3 P4P for sure.
Bivol is a wonderful fighter but he needs to beat Beterbiev for me to call him the best. Right now it’s Usyk followed by Crawford.
I can't see how anyone makes light work of Beterbiev. He's not just a beast, he's a smart boxer as well. Unless the knee and age have properly caught up to Artur, this will easily be the hardest fight in Bivol's career, and he will have to execute flawlessly to come away with the W - IMO
No way he makes Beterbiev light work, the most dominant I could see it going is a decision that he controls the pace of with a few scary moments
Best boxer maybe but not the best fighter necessarily. I favour Beterbiev to stop Bivol, even post knee op.
have been very impressed with Bivol. he will have to have a damned near perfect night to beat Beterbiev. I believe he can do it though. just won't be easy.
He might well be, but he's too unproven. If he handles Beterbiev he's top 4 lock. (Usyk, Inoue, Crawford are untouchable ATM) If he beats Opetai at Cruiser after Beterbiev I think you can rank him wherever you want. Even right now he's still very highly ranked, after the top 3 there's probably Bam Rodriguez, Bivol, Beterbiev. Then the likes of Alvarez, Nakatani, Lomachenko, Davis.
I think he may be the best pure boxer today. Can't see anybody at 168-175 out boxing him and he's already outboxed Ramirez who's a cruiserweight champ now. Only person I'd say could be above him in this regard is Usyk.
