Bivol just doesn't get the recognition he deserves?

Because his fights suck ass. And I like the dude, but the majority of his fights have little rewatchability.

It's because he's not really a champion. He has the WBA title yes, but Beterbiev is the man of the division.

He's the equivalent of a long term number 1 challenger who waited years to challenge the champion.

 

Hes not the real LHW champ. And while maybe this has changed since Beterbievs injury people generally expected Beterbiev to beat him.

 

Bivol is one of my fav's. Remember how he made the one they called the Face of Boxing & The King of Boxing look like a journeyman. He Literally kicked Canelo's ass , totally embarrassed him. Of course Canelo claimed he was too big, all 4 ounces difference LOL Funny he never said Kovalev was too big Huh ?? LOL Bivol is up there in top echelon of P4P. But it´s true that Beterbiev was the actual champion of the division. He beat the man who beat the man and he also unified 3 of the 4 belts.

 

Imo, Bivol's actually quite overrated in what he's actually done and capable of. Bivol is a one-dimensional fighter I think. Yes, it is an excellent dimension and he has all but perfected it but if you put him in the ring with a guy who is longer than him and can force him on the front foot he doesn't look as good. He struggled against Richards, Salamov, and didn't look that impressive against Zinad I thought. Bivol's level of competition has been pretty poor outside of Canelo and Zurdo. I'm also a tad suspicious that the Canelo fight was fixed as Nacho Beristain suggests, it just looked staged and both were really inaccurate and never put anything on their punches. If he beats Biev, then I'll give him his props but as of right now I fail to understand why he has accrued as much acclaim as he has.

That is the crux of this matter , Margarito was NEVER caught with anything illegal in his wraps. It all began with a blatant lie from Richardson about seeing plaster blocks fall from the wraps. No one else ever claimed to see any The lab tested the Pads & wraps microscopically but found no evidence of any plaster. They deemed them HARMLESS
