While I like bivol and Jack standing up to A-side demands I think Bivol may regret this

Bivol won the first fight, I know many want 168 and bivol wants it for the bravado but 175 favors him and is a bug payday

Was he fighting more for weight class and belts or a bigger cut?

 Bivol dominated Canelo and made him look stupid. No point in a rematch first fight was a total mismatch. Canelo needs to fight Beterbiev.

Let’s be honest, Canelo and his team know what would happen if they fought again.

If Bivol needed the money, he'd have just taken Clenelo to school again.

Boxing is a business and is about maximizing your money. Fighting other opponents now for 500k, a fraction of a Canelo purse is not worth it.

Bivol wanted double undisputed and the easiest way to first was a 168 fight with Canelo, then Canelo's brother Sulamain threw a spanner in the works and cut him off of both.

The only mistake made was Canelo stepping in the ring with Bivol in the first place. Not excepting a catchweight for his belts and a rehydration clause to make the rematch. You serious? If tables were turned and Bivol wanted to control Canelo's weight, you would be here telling us how Canelo is smart for not excepting.

Clenelo's the one who made a big mistake by treating a Eurasian King like a peasant at the negotiating table. He'll likely never get the chance to avenge his loss to him now after his disrespect. If he truly wanted to avenge the loss the fight would've been made already but he knows that two losses to Bivol would be extremely damaging to his brand and reputation so he lowballed him with an extremely derisory and insulting offer and refused to fight him at 168 after having made excuses about the weight after Bivol baptized him at 175.

For Bivol's sake I am glad it isn't happening. He has said he didn't want the rematch at 175 but at 168 but even then he really wasn't excited about it. It doesn't seem he cares about the money. What's sad is that if his name was "Donny Baldwin" from Detroit.... he'd be a star right now.

However, all of these chickenheads talking about Canelo losing and not being in position to dictate seem to forget how boxing actually works. Even in a loss, the cashcow fighters (since forever) can call the shots when there is that big of a discrepancy. It sucks, but I live in reality and in reality Canelo can call the shots or move on.

While I agree that Bivol can do what he wants, the fact is that in boxing the money man calls the shots. That is why fighters agree to rehydration clauses and catch weights. They want the money and still think they can beat the guy so they agree. Props to Bivol for passing up the money.

He did and Bivol said no, case closed. Now we're all moving on to bigger and better things. Except for Bivol, unless he fights BB.

Yeah & Canelo made every excuse under the sun why he got his schooling, bad camp, injured wrist, he'd actually hurt it 2 fights before, but didn't mention it. Most laughable part is he still calls himself the King of Boxing ROFLMAO. Canelo wont fight Bivol at 168 because he knows in his heart he cannot beat him & those trinkets he scrounged will be gone for ever. Doubt he could still make 168 legally anyway

Bro, Beterbiev would likely destroy Canelo and take away his PPV value too.

Only possible legacy fight at this moment for Bivol is Beterviev and odds of that taking place are very slim.

Rumors are that his next fight might be Yarde for little legacy and little money.

Sometimes fighters just need to tell their ego to STFU.
