What I thought after watching yesterday's fight is that Bivol's power aren't as weak as you might think; he has strong punches that can hurt his opponents more than pillow hands. However, he doesn't take the risk of knocking his opponent down until he's sure. His jab is as sharp as a shooter's and can make opponents flinch.

An elite fighter will always have some degree of power to wobble/drop/KO his man.

No one would argue he's a little cautious in "throwing the kitchen sink in" unless he sees a clear opportunity, I've no problem with a boxer looking to box his way to a points win just like I have no problem with anyone that says he lacks a killer instinct to finish a fight. Ward/Hopkins were similar, they favoured/trusted their boxing ability/IQ over their ability to knock a man out.

Of all the LHW champions over the last 20 years or so, you'd say his power was down the middle/lower end of the spectrum.

    I don’t think he’s a featherfist but he’s not a hard puncher

Great skills with adequate power. Not a bad combination...

It's his style and he is not a finisher.

I think he has ok power for LWH, but his style won't allow him to go for a clean KO like that.

For example, we never seen him drop boxers like Loma did with Nakatani, Commey and Kambosos

Bivol simply isn't a hitter, and there's really not much he could do to become one (being more aggressive etc). He's a sharp puncher and he isn't devoid of power (Corey Spinks, Paulie, Sergio M etc) but he simply can't dispatch most of his peers. He stings ya, he doesn't melt ya

Bivol has more than adequate power as he successfully keeps his opponents on the back foot. His style is to effectively box, keeping his opponents thinking rather than acting.

No one just walks through his punches to get to him so something is deterring them from doing this

Correct. Bivol is safety first and relies on hitting and not being hit. When he feels it is safe enough to sit down on his punches he has enough power to move people.

Bivol doesn’t have good power. Let’s not pretend that the guy could punch just because of 1 ko in what, 6 years? Compared to other light heavyweights, I’d give his power a 6/10 at most.

Bivol has enough power to deal with gimme fights like Rivera Richard’s Arthur Zinad but when it comes down to the one fight that matters in his career it will not be enough,Beterbiev will be all over him and whilst he won’t walk through him,at some point Beterbievs offence proves too much and he gets stopped .

I think his power is decent, but he's simply risk averse. Why risk it when dismantling an opponent is that easy for you? However, Zinad proved to be a bit of a riddle, who gave him something to think about and was arguably unofficially winning most of the rounds due to his activity. So the mere fact that Zinad was making him look human and being a pain in the ass, which pissed Bivol off, so in an effort to put him in his place and not allow Zinad to even have an argument that he was robbed if it went to the cards. After all, look at the farcical hullabaloo after the Craig Richards fight, and Zinad won more than the two rounds that Craig did. So Bivol took that option off of the table entirely. But even then, he didn't KO him. He just overwhelmed him.

Maybe because Bivol was not fighting like always from the start ? I never seen him get hit so much in the first 4 rounds.

Because as I said in the RBR, Zinad might not be great, but he has a damn good and very active jab as well as a decent straight right, and he makes it work for him. Bivol didn't like how competitive Zinad was, it made him feel insecure, then pissed, so he went all out to rectify the situation.
