Bivol said he’s the A-side now. What an OG.

Eddie Hearn made it clear that Canelo wanted to handicap himself in order to give himself a challenge lol.

I don't think Bivol knows how A-side works.

Can he fill an arena with his name alone?
Can he garner on his own 40 mill & up purses?
Would people pay for his fights on PPV? if so, can he generate real buys?
If Alvarez doesn't fight him next, will Bivol receive a million dollar purse in the double digits fighting someone else?

While i think Bivol should be respected more in the rematch negotiation being that he won, at the end of the day...Alvarez doesn't have to fight him, he could just tell the public that "I wanted the rematch but Bivol's people were being crazy, so I walked away" & no one will hold it against him.

He certainly doesn't have to fight him next. Might be smarter for Canelo to give it some time, fight Ryder next in the UK or GGG at 168 and look to set up a rematch with Bivol down the road. But I do think there's unfinished business between Canelo and Bivol and they are destined to eventually fight again.

Mixed Russian-Korean once again proven as the best counter to Canelo.

I assume the rematch clause states the rematch has to take place at a certain weight (175?)? That means if Canelo wants it at 168 then it's a whole different situation.

then what canelo is doing is "proposing a rematch" (different from the one in the clause), not enforcing the rematch clause. This is different. If the clause is in the contract and canelo wants to enforce it, then there will be a rematch yes yes yes or yes. As I said, Fury vs Wilder is the perfect example. A contract is a contract.

Canoe should only be due 30% for the rematch. Any more than that is unfair.

He was outclassed by a better boxer. He's clearly not in Bivol's league.

At the end of the day, Bivol>>>Canelo. And it’s not even a debate anymore. Bivol gave up everything Canelo wanted and still put the paws on him til his face matched his trunks.
