I'd love for Bivol to get a great pay day and fairer fight terms, but what usually happens with these things is that the rematch clauses tend to have a predetermined conditions. It also depends on badly the original A side needs the fight. If Canelo didn't have big money options Bivol would have the upper hand. Since Canelo could walks away and still make big money fights with Benavidez, GGG, or Charlo, there isn't much incentive for him to fight Bivol. I personally want to see them both move on, but think the rematch could help Bivol get a nice pay day.

 

Who tells you that there was rematch clause in the contract?
This is coming from Bivol team that if he want the rematch, everything will be different.
