Not much talk of this fight on here or YT for that matter. Here is a chance to get on board with a prediction before hand instead of chiming in after about how you knew what was going to happen. Bivol's durability or lack there of will be put on display here.
Far from impossible, Joe Smith Jr had him down hard in Round 1 ... But I think Barrera has some skills and power to keep Bivol off. True, his chin isn't the best but his recovery is decent, he'll probably last a bit longer.
Possibly, but Bivol has the smarts to put him down again, maybe he stays down the second time. But KO2 or 3 or 4 wouldn't shock me, hell Bivol UD wouldn't either.
Barrera is a tough guy I can see him making it a tough fight Experience goes to Barrera Skills to Bivol
Bivol's got a good guard and solid defensive movement, but doesn't always roll with the shots that do connect. Barrera's the type of guy who could take advantage of that...if he overcomes his penchant for starting slowly avoids taking a trip to the mat in the first few rounds like he has in recent fights, and tightens up his punches to match Bivol's more compact delivery. Might be a bit too much to ask of Sullivan. Bivol by KO.
This was a conduit for all those picking Barrera to be heard and be accounted for because if Barrera wins you guys know who will be coming out the woodwork claiming they knew it all along. Just like before Ahabranskyy nothing but crickets then after barrera wins they all knew it was going to happen just like the YT turd brigade.
Bivol TKO 10 or Barrera TKO 8 (60/40) split. Bivol is a sharp explosive well schooled guy but he lacks gears in my opinion. Barrera isn’t the fastest or the most overwhelming offensive force but he’s crafty and consistent. This isn’t the easiest fight to predict because the clash of styles allows for a pretty intresting dynamic. I might find it necessary to do a bit more research on both fighters since I’ve only seen a handful fights from both guys.
Even 50-50 matchup. Sullivan Barrera is underrated. He's very well-prepared and focused on winning this fight.
If I had to put big money on this fight, I'd put it on Bivol. That being said, I will be rooting for Barrera.
