Is anyone aware of a fight for a vacant title with steeper odds? The 'best' price I can find on Bivol is 1/50. Shame on the WBA. I think not only does the triangle theoru obviously prove for Bivol, it also makes a stoppage within the 5.5 over/under pretty certain. A crude slugger in Berridge was able to find Broadhurst with power and hurt him in five rounds, why would Bivol with his much more sophisticated setup and accurate attack need any longer? Bivol's no slow starter either, he's stopped each of his best opponents in four rounds. Unless Bivol's backpedaling and carrying Broadhurst this doesn't go halfway through the sixth. So if you're a betting man like I am don't bother with Bivol by stoppage at 1/10, take the under at about even money!
It's a reference to fixed fight in Western Australia where a boxer took a dive from a glancing blow and his opponent claimed it was a legitimate KO the next day after blowing up after the fight. Google Danny Green vs Paul Briggs. And he said this the next day. This content is protected
It was originally announced as for the vacant title, I see now I missed the news that Bivol was handed the title.
Turns out he was promoted from interim to full champion after Jack vacated his (regular) belt. So this is nothing more as a weak defence.
Yes, that's correct. Pretty bad first defense to be honest, I hope they did try to get someone better.
Bivol said he would fight anybody! He plans to fight Barrera after this fight. Do not complain about Bivol's opponents if you are a Wilder fan! Wilder fights winos from the alley..................the fight will be shown on HBO at 5:30 tomorrow or 5:35, then replay around 9:45......................HBO!
