Before you say "but muh Bivol is a light heavyweight" remember that he weighs in as a light heavyweight with day before weigh ins. And rehydrated, he probably weighs about 190-195. The same size as James Braddock, who beat Max Baer (say what you will of his performance). But it shows it is possible for an elite 190 lb fighter to beat Baer.
I don't Bivol had a chance here... Baer have too much power... Bivol can run in all the ring if he want, he have of course a better footwork and defense. In terms of power Bivol was on the red against Beterbiev... Can you imagine with Baer ? In terms of physical, powers and in an unpredictable boxing Bivol will be in my opinion totally depassed in the 2nd half of the fight. The first part of the fight Bivol would have the upper hand and would win on points if it is a 4 or 6 rounds beyond it will be complicated to maintain the pace and to turn around the ring spamming his jab. Baer by TKO 10-11 (Considering the current rules, I think the referee stops Bivol with a big opening to the brow at the end of the fight or with a hail of blows.).
Beterbiev is light years better than Baer skill wise in every way. The only reason an excellent Bivol beat him in the rematch is at forty he gassed … that said , Bivol hada very good chance of decisioning Baer who could be dangerous but would be so outclassed.
Bivol does well until Baer lands one of his autistic swings from hell with the worst punching form you’ve ever seen in your life, leaving Dmitry twitching on the canvas.
