I think that Bivol will beat Beterbiev thanks to his superb technique, confusing him in the first 5 rounds in particular using a lot his atypical jab that he first lands on the opponent and then he immediately steps back, keeping Beterbiev at a safe distance because we know Beterbie becomes lethal at short distance. So, I think he'll make Beterbiev gas out in the middle of the fight and then he'll start hitting him with several accurate combinations. It is very likely that he will win by decision or at most by TKO even if the chances of outclassing Beterbiev are few as Beterbiev has one of the strongest jaws around.
Bivol is very good at what he does, but he's scarcely a riddle in there. I don't think Beterbiev will necessarily struggle figuring Bivol out, but he may not be able to do anything about it. Everyone knew what Mariano Rivera was going to throw, but you still couldn't hit him.
Beterbiev will definitely be flustered. Especially since he’s been fighting easy to hit guys the past few years. Still though, I wonder how well Bivol handles AB’s offense.
I agree. I think Bivol has to work very hard for it, but will limp away with a close but clear decision win after taking some heavy shots.
