I wouldn't mind a 3rd fight because both were excellent twice but I am not a fan of some this trilogies. I would kind of rather Bivol fights Benavidez.
Wasn't Benavidez on record not too long ago saying he wouldn't be in the way of a trilogy if they wanted it?
Would prefer a fight w/ Benavidez, but the first two were entertaining, had Bivol in both. Just not sure what Beterbiev can do differently yo win the third.
I've gotta believe $$ will win the day. If IBF strips the trilogy winner, so be it. The trilogy winner vs. Benavidez is easily the biggest fight at 175 at least since Beterbiev-Bivol 1, and I could easily see Turki subsidizing it even if it were to be in Vegas, with whatever it takes to sweeten the pot to make it palatable to both fighters' teams.
The best fight at LHW is Bivol vs Beterbiev. And if they are to have a trilogy every extra month makes Beterbiev older. Benavidez is a worthy challenger, don't get me wrong, but more worthy than Beterbiev? Absolutely not. Winner fights Benavidez to be two time undisputed.
WBC reacting to Saudi league plans, Benavidez is with PBC etc. Turki is putting the ring belt above the WBC etc.
Show me a credible source for this claim and I will ship you $100. Show me the offer he was given. I was being sarcastic mate!
You get what you negotiate. When Bivol fought Canelo even though he was the champion he got about 20% of the split a career high pay day. It’s business.
I'm not surprised at all, Turki Alalshikh wants Bivol - Beterbiev 3 (so there is a great purse for both) and the WBC did well to elect Benavidez as world champion, who was 'interim' champion and should have faced Bivol. In my opinion Bivol will win against Beterbiev and then he will also beat Benavidez, but this is just my opinion. At the moment we have Benavidez as WBC world champion and Bivol - Beterbiev 3 that I think will take place this year.
