It was a close fight. I don't score fights, it's not my profession. There were clear cut rounds for either guy, few rounds that were super close. Looked like each guy said I'm taking this round over and over. Just because AB was moving forward doesn't win him rounds, especially if the other guy is peppering him with jabs and hooks. It would have been the height of insanity for Bivol to stand and trade with AB some hit and got out of the way. AB definitely hurt Bivol several times, usually right after Bivol landed something meaningful.

I would have preferred a draw. Run it back; I bet next time there will be more action as Bivol now knows he won't win with the game plan he had today.

Bivol battered him the entire fight with three and four punch combos. That is a fact.

Yet his face was almost unmarked unlike Bivols.. it was a close fight pal.. i see no reason for any cries of injustice here, Beterbiev was overwhelming him towards the end. Looked a draw to me, a fight of two halves.

Nah, he let the last 2 rounds slip away. Its a close fight, really could've gone either way. Get the rematch arranged soon.

The only way to appease the Canelo fanboys is have Canelo fight Beterbiev. He's younger so it should be an easy fight for the king of boxing.

If punch stats are to be believed, it was obviously a close fight

I had it 115-113 Bivol, Bivol was unlucky but no robbery.

You don't have to be a Canelo fanboy to want to see that fight. Styles make fights and their styles should provide an action packed big punching fan friendly fight. It has all the ingredients of a great fight. Many fans have said that Beterbiev is the harder hitter that Canelo could fight, so if you're someone who wants to see Canelo's chin tested AB is your guy. And from Canelo's perspective, he's already fought Bivol. Maybe if he can withstand AB's power he could have an easier time actually winning a decision if it goes the distance than against Bivol.

What a close fight. The style clash was amazing. I think it all comes down to preference during the close rounds. Clean effective punching. I think Bivol was cleaner and Artur was more effective as Bivol was the one wishing the fight would end by the close of the bout. I think Bivol landed cleaner and more often, but when Artur landed it was more impactful and when he threw to the body or even jabbed Bivol, Bivol had to move. I think Bivol dictated the pace of the fight and was controlling the space better, but Artur was on the front foot a lot more. Bivol had flashier combinations but it felt like Artur's thudding power was bothering Dmitry even hitting on gloves.

I had it 7-5 or 8-4 Bivol first watch, second watch it felt a lot closer. I think I was surprised that Artur was having trouble and it made Dmitry look better by virtue of not getting blown up like the other guys Beterbiev fought. I don't know. Some of those rounds come down to preference completely since neither fighter showed much wear and tear from the punches until Bivol started to wane late. I think it is also hard to give up the last couple of rounds and win generally.
