You should change the title because it's "victory," not "defeat."

Bivol's win is obviously more impressive

The 160 + Clenelo is a much better, fitter, stronger and more powerful and experienced at the elite level fighter than the 147-154 version

But to balance that out Floyd was giving away a lot of weight and youth against Clenelo, whereas Bivol was the bigger man against Clenelo albeit only 3-5lbs max

Floyd and Bivol both sport identical 72'' reaches which is remarkable considering one is a LHW and the other a WW

Bivol had never fought on a stage of that magnitude before and lacked the experience against prime elite level opposition and Clenelo was the P4P #1 when he beat him but what was Clenelo's P4P ranking when he fought Floyd?

May being the smaller man made it better than bivol beating the smaller man

Canelo was a little green if you compare him to 160 Canelo but the version Bivol fought had regressed into a one Demensional front foot bully. They are both about equally far apart from his peak so that point is irrelevant here. Floyd was the smaller man and while still a phenomenal fighter was on the slide. Bivol was prime and the bigger man, even if not by much. I also thought Floyd pulled further away in more rounds while Bivol, while comfortably outboxing Canelo, played it rather safe.

I give the edge to Floyd.

    100% Bivol.

Bivol fought a prime and jacked-out-on-roids Clenelo with sledgehammer fists.

Floyd fought a drained and green Clenelo under his privately contracted doping program with USADA.

Floyd beat the better version imo. What Bivol did was great and all credit given but Canelo isnt a LHW. Bivol would beat Canelo 100 out of 100 times at 175 lbs tho, maybe 99 out of 100 at 168 too.

Sorry, I keep hearing the narrative that Canelo was green and has gotten so much better since his loss to Mayweather. I have always maintained that I did not see vast improvements like many have been saying. He always had trouble with good movers and smart boxers. The fact he got beaten by such a wide margin by another smart boxer proves he has not gotten that much better and shows that the Mayweather that beat him the first time would still beat him today.

Course you're going to say that u .. unfortunately for u tho the Canelo Mayweather fought hadn't already shared the ring twice with GGG, Kovalev, Floyd, Cotto, Jacob's, Saunders, Lara etc.. you can't buy experience like that... and there is no way you go through all those individuals without enhancing your game and increasing your ability and knowledge... it's called progress and learning your craft.. do you think he stalled after mayweather lol how convenient for the Floyd joy boys lmao.. & hes more than capable of fighting as a light heavyweight as well considering he's close to 200lbs..

Canelo clearly got better. It has nothing to do with his inability to find slick boxers. You can improve in more than one area.

I think Bivol was physically more dominant while Mayweather was mentally more dominant.

I think that's a fair post and pretty spot on, obviously Canelo was more in his prime vs Bivol. But Canelo was moving up in weight vs Bivol, although as you said the size difference isn't that big. But Mayweather was also moving up in weight vs Canelo, and whilst Canelo wasn't in his prime. Mayweather deserves credit for still schooling a good young fighter whilst being past his prime, but then again wasn't Mayweather/Canelo at catchweight ? I can't remember but maybe that takes a little shine away from the win aswell.
