He could be out for a good while after that, back injuries are complex things

    Injuries happen...

Given the number of serious injuries Haye had it does make you wonder if Booths methods are too hard on the body?!

Devastating, he was bossing the fight. Can't see him appearing as a substitute I imagine he will need some serious recovery time. Adam Booth was practically holding him back in the corner what a warrior

I disagree, Donnaire looked much better than I expected. I had it 2-1 to Burnett at the time of the injury and it was developing into an interesting fight.

I thought Donaire was really coming on stronger before this injury, shame for Burnett for it to end like that.

Yeah he was ahead in the fight, definitely the faster of the two. It was an interesting contest, real shame about the injury. Freak accident really.

What a gentleman Donaire is though. Boxing is about respect and discipline, which describes Nonito perfectly.

I thought Burnett won every round and was on his way to a comfortable points win. He looked very composed and put his foot on the gas as and when he pleased

He won’t be appearing again in this tournament. Now that the semifinals are next there’s only 3 fights left.

Very unfortunate for butnett to lose like that. I was enjoying that, nice little tear up. The other geezer was no mug but i think burnett wouldve won had he not done himself a mischief.

Pre fight injury flaring up but he still gets well paid shocker - has this happened before at the O2 twice recently?

I just have a feeling the injury won’t be that bad and Burnett will reappear at a later stage

I thought some of Burnett’s offensive work was absolutely sublime, however, his defence was shoddy and he was taking some clean shots. You can’t keep taking shots like that against someone as classy as Donaire. I had Burnett 2-1 up but it was shaping up for an interesting contest.
