Agreed. I thought it was only a matter of time before nonito landed a hail Mary of a left hook. Burnetts back hand let a few of them hooks in and even when he brought it back to his chin it was low and nonito was sneaking it in still. Also the sitting on the ropes was silly from Burnett. I thought they were about level by the stoppage, it was turning into a great fight.

Before the back went it was all Burnett. Really Nonitos successes came from Burnett being careless. Burnett was outclassing him and it was only gonna get worse forvDonnaire as age, weight and fatigue took hold. It was Burnett all the way. . Heading for a dominant win. Then tragedy struck. ....:(

Sorry Len but once again believe it or not, I don't agree with you. Lol.
Imo Donaire was level in that fight up to the stoppage. Burnett was sharper and put together some good combos and I do agree it was more a case of Burnett making mistakes and been careless but that's burnetts weakness and for all we know he could of started getting worse. Burnetts isn't defensively that good and Donaire was catching him with the left hook.
It was comparative up to the stoppage and there was nothing to suggest in them early rounds that Burnett was going to run away with the fight.

I’m sure most of us have had our backs going on us, mine went in July in Tenerife. I was only playing football, nobody was near me and I felt it twang. It was agony to walk or even climb out of bed for a week or two. My daughter was putting my socks on for me. I’m genuinely not soft and i’m not one to make a fuss but I just found really embarrassing that I couldn’t even walk properly. I expected it to be a disc but it was just a muscle injury.

Hopefully, it’s just one of them for Bennett.

agree, but i wasnt complaining I had Donaire on to win on my acca so made me some nice wonga.

Had Jacobs, Prograis, Josh Taylor, Ryder, Pulev and Donaire all to win and it was the Donaire fight that got me the decent odds.

Groves had problems as well. Very explosive style. Its obviously effective but comes with its side effects.

Exactly what i was thinking. His hands were far too low in the pocket. I know it is the style but very risky. Donaire could have had him on his back.

Nope, which is what's making me think it was a bust rib not disk related.

Back pain is hellacious... no matter how tough you are 20. I’ve had a shattered disc out about 15 yrs ago and I still have sciatica today. Its a big issue for anyone never mind an elite athlete. Let’s hope it’s not spinal. Another Irish boxer Luke Keeler is rumored to have done a disc too. It seems to be getting more common. Is this a reflection of boxers lifting weights today?
