BJ's entering Chagaev territory.

Comes out of nowhere to knock off a high-profile (perhaps higher-profile than their skill level warrants) name fighter and then POOF - inactivity ad cobwebium.

 

He knows he ain't ready. No offense to Ding-a-ling, but the guy ain't all that. Anybody who can box a bit can take a decision over him - Flores no expection - but he ain't ready for the top dogs in the decision and he knows it.

 

The Chagaev-Valuev comparison holds true.

 

How can the comparison by THIS similar?

There situations are almost identical.

 

Yeah, but Chagaev at least claimed injury. No such claims from Flores.

 

It is a flimsy comparison. Chagaev beat the great Felix Savon twice, the first time when he was only 18 years old. Flores hasn't done much of anything other than sound good on TV interviews.

 

I can see turning down Adamek, but he's afraid of Braithwaite? Come on man, sack up or find a permanent broadcast job.

 

Odd to say the least, for a fighter to repeatedly find a way out from furthering his career.
