What would Flores have to gain by fighting a no-name coming off a loss? Flores is ranked #2 by the IBF, and Godfrey isn't ranked by them at all. Doesn't seem like ducking to me. For someone to duck, there actually has to be a reason to fight the person other than pride. Expect Flores to fight cupcakes and C raters until he gets his mandatory shot, unless he gets a chance for a money fight before then.

Only guy talking sense in here. :good You're BJ Flores. You just beat a top 10 Ring mag fighter. Youve fought on ESPN before. You dont get paid too well on ESPN. Then you get a call from Godfrey's desperate manager: "Listen BJ let's make it happen on ESPN, take a paycut and give Matt a shot, what do you say?" Flores has bigger fish to fry. If he cant line up a big one soon he will just continue staying active against lesser fighters, he's already earned the #2 ranking with the IBF. No need fighting good fighters for peanuts in the meantime.
