I just laughed when you said he was a heavyweight....its not like he planned on fighting there...why sweat out the last 5 pounds for the majority of those bouts when its not a regional title fight...Flores never was a full grown heavy thats all.

Definitely Flores should not have to come in at a catchweight below 200:deal

Everything Pecks said. Green should be hitting this standard for every fight as the champion. A good start, but no way in hell am I forking out for this one. This fight shouldn't be PPV.

Many of Flores' bouts weren't just a case of both guys coming in 5 lb over the cruiser limit.

He fought a 261 lb Matt Hicks, a 239 lb Andy Sample (Flores was 218 himself), a 228 lb Quintana, and a 219 lb Bloomfield.

personally im just pleased with the announcement and the fact that those who cant say anything positive about green are having trouble defending their hate, cant wait for the next few months of boxing!

Lol, It's funny how anyone commenting about Flores with a tinge of negativity is a hater or something. Facts are Greens recent career is by no means classed as any kind of standard that fans of the sport can accept.

Nor should his recent moves be forgotten simply cuz he takes on an opponent of actual calibre for once. I mean, seriously, if Green fighting an okay, untested fighter, who is actually inside his weight class is something to be championed then when he takes a real top 2 contender or title holder we might as well declare it a public holiday in this country to celebrate.

Good step in the right direction but there have been too many in the wrong direction for him to be right back on track again.

Anyway, I'll watch it at the pub, rooting for Green with the hopes he steps up even further next fight. If he loses to Flores, well, then we know why he's been making the choices he has until now :deal

Been havin' abit of a look at Flores....although I can't find much decent....his opponents on u-tube are all $hit....but anyway...Flores sure is big and obviously strong...but everything else looks straight forward...Greeny will have to get to him with angles and workrate....it's hard to judge how fast Flores is....looks like it's got the makin's of a good fight.

If Flores is permited to come in at the 200lb limit its going to be sooo dam funny watching a guy whos not fought in a little over a year knock green the fark out! Green is really sticking his neck on the line with this one yet once again it will be make or break and im rooting that Flores breaks danny green in two!

BJ Flores will weigh in 199lbs and come fight night could be 210-215lbs.....Greeny will be lucky to weigh 190lbs, this could end up bad for Green.
