Agreed. I can't see any 205's being a favourite over him either.

Just look at a common opponent in Henderson and compare how a great 205 pounder in Rampage did, grinding out a tough decision...

You have to judge things accordingly, Henderson is no mug, he's quite excellent.

Yeah, he's a Floyd nuthugger through and through, thinks all of Floyd's recent **** performances against subpar opposition to what the P4P #1 ought to be fighting is something significant, on par with some of the greatest in history's performances against other elite and great fighters.

    He can **** off.

And if people think that I put Calzaghe's subpar performance against Hopkins anywhere near his best wins, find where I've given Calzaghe anything other than the credit for winning alone, you won't, I've complained about it again and again when asked.

Sit there and justify Joy Boy's horrible displays against guys who are of no threat in Hatton and Baldomir and that awful fight with an inactive, shot DLH.

Guys, it's silly to niggle over the exact order of the top three in MMA. They're close enough that it really is impossible, and even with very plausible real-life head-to-head matchups, the fact remains that they are three different-sized guys, and all neck and neck in talent, ability and resume. They're the top three, and together well far ahead of whoever #4 is (I guess a lot of angry Fedor fans will probably protest that he ought to be in the top three, but he's a wide trailing #4, tops). It's one thing to argue the top spots in boxing (as some of you know, I've abandoned all discussion of the broken format in that sport) - but never in boxing have there been three absolute freaks of nature with so little to choose from at the very top. In MMA it's made easy for you - there is no pfp #1 but rather a holy triumvirate perched with one foot each atop the podium with their incredible athletic balance. That is the correct and final answer. Group hug. :p

    Something along these lines:
"this is mma, this isn't boxing. This isn't floyd mayweather running for 12 rounds. This isn't asking someone to pay $60 and then run the entire fight...."

I think BJ is pissed off that he wasted money on the 'World Awaits' :rofl :rofl :rofl

Lightweight and Welterweight have MUCH better competition then Middleweight. That oughta be considered.

    Who wouldn't be?

And wait until the Joy Boy nuthuggers get in here and say 'well, why do you expect him to slugfest, you don't appreciate defensive boxing blah blah blah'.

Sorry Joy Boy's, I love good precision boxing and love an excellent defensive display, but I hate safety first pot shotting and NEVER expect a pure boxer to get into a slugfest, in fact, I don't even really like slugfests, my favourite fights are action packed technical fights where much is displayed and exchanged in the same respect.

That fight was horrible, if I am suffering through a phase of insomnia, I just turn that one on and I'm asleep by the 5th round.:yep

After Sherk, who else is there around to give BJ a good fight?

And I'm just as excited for Faber-Pulver, I think Faber's well on his way to becoming apart of the MMA elite level that IB proclaims should be a holy triumvirate.

And it's great we get all of the WEC fights on cable.

Floyd used to fight entertaining, he modified to this current style to make up for the superior competition at 140-147. The comp at 130-135 were top ranked fighters there, but mostly B grade 1 dimensional fighters on the P4P scale.

Struggles with Castillo ought to give you all you need to know on why he fights in the most safety first style possible and that safety first style is not the most multi-dimensional itself, he's ripe to be shredded by an elite technical pressure fighter and there is one around named Miguel Cotto.:good

Laughable that people think Floyd ought to be favoured, especially when you look at the recent performances of Cotto and the recent performances of Joy Boy himself.

But then again, some fans are under the trance that Joy Boy is unbeatable, so what difference does it make in the end trying to actually legitimately discuss the finer points of the game?

Yup Fabers got some real skills. There are alot of good Lightweights outside of the UFC. But just for BJ to fight, ignoring the fact that he has one specific rematch on his mind (ahem GSP), the talent is very good in lightweight. At least comparable to Middleweight. Florian, Edgar, Griffin, Maynard, Huerta....not all elite but decent challenges for him.
