God your a dumbass, he never said they were sub-par. Point that bit out ?

He said they were horrible, which they most certainly were. Awful fights, awful to watch and easy to predict.

    Stop embarrassing yourself.

I agree with him when he says that Floyd mayweather makes you pay 60 dollars to see him run around the ring for 12 rounds but man I have seen so many UFC fights that have gotten booed or been stinkers that he's this is the UfC we come to fight is hypocritical.

See guys, I told you a Joy Boy nuthugger would come in and accuse me of not appreciating precision/defensive boxing, even though it's what I prefer, having been brought up on the likes of Pernell Whitaker.

Let me repeat myself, Joy Boy-nuthugger, I love precision/defensive boxing, it is an artform, I do not like safety first pot shotting, there is a

And the performance against was subpar, as was the performance against Baldomir, neither of these guys had a chance and Hatton actually controlled the fight, while dropping rounds due to not landing much, for the first 6 rounds. Against Baldomir, you have a guy with even less of a chance and Floyd had every opening to open up on him and recieve nothing in return.

Watch a Pernell Whitaker performance sometime, the guy at his best threw a high workrate, put together beautiful combinations and showcased SUPERIOR defence, movement and offensive skillset to Joy Boy against SUPERIOR COMPETITION by a country mile.

Overly cautious is the perfect way to describe Floyd's style at 147 and 154. It's such a waste, as he has a good chin and good inside defense. He doesn't need to box so conservatively - that's what makes him so frustrating.

Nobody he's fought at WW or LMW would have knocked him out if he'd fought in his lighter-weight style. Oscar landed on him even when he was favoring evasion over exchange, which just goes to show that his speed isn't what it was at the lower weights. He was not bothered. He'd be better served to up his workrate, eat a few shots, and make for some prettier fights that would jack his market value way up.

That said, he might not want to take too many chances against Cotto. He could still make it a fight, as long as he doesn't underestimate that steadily improving jab, gets that left hand up and keeps those ribs covered. :yep

Penn is definitely not p4p #1 in mma. Does he have the skills to be a potential #1? Yeah, sure he does. But when your only wins in the past 3 years are Pulver, Stevenson and Renzo Gracie, you have absolutely no claim to being p4p #1.

I know. But I did say "In the past 3 years" right? Penn hasnt beaten Hughes in the past 3 years, he lost the last fight with Hughes. If they did fight for a 3rd time though, I think Penn would whup Hughes ass, as long as he is in good shape.

    :D

If Floyd fought a close-range war against Cotto, utilizing his solid inside defense and counterpunching, and was able to pull off the victory that way (hell even if he lost a competitive fight using that style) I would take back most negative comments about him and trumpet his greatness. :good

****ing unbelieveable.:-( Poeple in here taking the side of a MMA fighter over a boxer on a boxing site. Something is wrong here. **** that no good UFC bum. He's a bitter ***** mad that PBF and most boxers are making way more money than he'll ever see in a dozen lifetimes. I will never take the side of a MMA fighter over any boxer and anyone doing so here should try a MMA forum.:deal
