BJ Penn vs Nick Diaz @ 170lbs (5 rd fight)

What does Diaz have for Fitch or GSP. I'm a big fan of Diaz but he hasn't fought anyone at WW that would be top ten in the UFC, if the Daley fight gets made then he will be. I don't see Daley as an easy win for Diaz though.

 

Diaz is no joke on his feet. Say what you want about Frank Shamrock being past his best, but Diaz was just outclassing him. Shamrock was not at his peak; but he was better still at a higher class than say Phil Baroni or Scott Smith. There aren't many mma welters that would fare well against Diaz in something that would resemble a boxing match.

Diaz would struggle more with good wrestlers with good submission defense. I think he would struggle agaisnt Fitch and Koscheck.

I would like to see Diaz against Matt Hughes. I think that could be a fun fight.

 

Fitch and GSP would play with him!

 

Penn is certainly a better style match-up than GSP, Fitch, Koscheck or Shields.

If Penn chooses to keep it standing as he did against Edgar, I can see Diaz winning a decision.

Daley is so many levels below Diaz on the ground that a mismatch doesnt do it justice !!!!

I hope he does , after all he stood there and took bombs from Santos over and over again .

Guess we'll have to disagree! Diaz is fighting low level fighters an I personally don't think he looks great in those fights if GSP was fighting that level he wouldn't go to pnts once, GSP stops Diaz if it ever happens!

 

Diaz has only been stopped once. How does GSP stop him? Don't be dumb.
