BJ is an abbreviation for the Boxing Junkies, theyve updated their P4P rankings and their top 10 are as followed: Terrence Crawford Canelo Alvarez Naoya Inoue Oleksandr Usyk Errol Spence Jr. Teofimo Lopez Jr. Tyson Fury Vasyl Lomachenko Juan Francisco Estrada Gennady Golovkin AGREE OR DISAGREE?
Disagree vehemently, especially with their ridiculous number 1. Mine trounces theirs.... easily. 1. Canelo Alvarez 2. Oleksandr Usyk 3. Naoya Inoue 4. Josh Taylor 5. Terence Crawford 6. Gennady Golovkin 7. Errol Spence Jr. 8. Juan Francisco Estrada 9. Teofimo Lopez Jr. 10. Vasyl Lomachenko 11. Kazuto Ioka 12. Tyson Fury
I still think Canelo is #1, I think Usyk also has a strong argument for #1 and should be no lower than #2. For the rest of the list: I'm not sure Errol Spence is still an active fighter, much less the #5 P4P talent. His great punch resistance was a big part of why he never slipped despite facing a decent string of opponents, is it still there? Fury has the most pounds but he doesn't have the most accomplishments so how could he possibly belong here? I also think they should swap Teofimo and Loma. I don't discount the head to head win I just think Loma has bounced back strong. Not sure anything he can do to Kambosos will change my mind. Taylor has to be on the list, he did a great job clearing out 140.
You might have a point about Spence and Crawford, there's very little to split them. But on GGG, you're dead wrong. Also, not sure why you want to denigrate the man, since his only loss is a debatable one against your P4P number 1. Why denigrate his best win? It makes Canelo look stronger. If anything, that more than proves his worthiness. Then when you add in the rest of his resume, which is better than Crawford's and Spence's. Not sure why it would even be controversial.
Hes inactive and hasnt fought anybody of note since Canelo. I respect his skills but not sure why as of now i would put him in the top 10 considering his last fight was against szermenta. Who did he beat before that? Steve Rolls? Who dat? Maybe after he beats Murata it might get him to number 10, but these other guys ranked in the top 10 that have been putting in work. EDIT: He fought Chenko before Scermenta, and Rolls before Chenko. I correct myself.
Usyk Canelo Crawford Inoue Estrada Taylor Lopez Spence Ioka Lomachenko GGG will be back in there if he beats Murata and becomes a two time unified champion.
I tend to agree, hence why I only put him at 12, and that was a sympathy pick based on the other list. If I actually sat down and compiled a Top 30, not sure he'd make it to the teens.
P4P is a weird mix of resume and how good they actually are. I don't rate the abilities of the current inactive Golovkin highly, but based on achievement he should be in the top 10. He may or may not be able to compete with Canelo now, but not so long ago he and consensus #1 or 2 Canelo were on similar level in their fights (and that's putting it mildly of course). Crawford simply hasn't got the big wins to be #1. He is very skilled, but I hold it a little against him that he has rehydrated so much throughout his career. I like Spence and rate him, but a single win over Danny Garcia who'd already lost to Porter and not fought since is a poor return for the last two years, so he goes down a bit. No Tyson Fury as he weighs a ton, agreed with @Mordechai . My list: 1. Usyk (am fine with Canelo #1 based on resume) 2. Canelo 3. Inoue 4. Crawford 5. Loma (I think people treat his close loss to a bigger Lopez too harshly) 6. Taylor 7. Lopez 8. Spence 9. Estrada 10. Golovkin (am fine with Ioka coming in here)
