Not that impressive??? of course you take away from GSP's preformance, as exactly as I knew you would, taking a guy like BJ out of his game and making him look like an ameateur is very impressive. Fighting BJ is no easy task and bJ wasn't able to do **** but an expert like you just takes away from GSP's preformance because you don't know any better.

I hope you will honour your avatar bet!!!

So, what could have GSP done to be more impressive? BJ has an very strong chin, and it would be asking a lot for an early KO.

George utterly overwhelmed and dominated Penn. If you want to call that "not impressive" it doesn't say much about BJ.

I will honor my bet. Im waiting for word first if BJ had a rib injury midway thru the 1st round.

Nah it really wasnt impressive, BJ didnt throw a punch when he was fresh... He absolutely did nothing in front of GSP for 2 minutes. Sure GSP is strong and fast but man, he has the same over and over formula. He isnt a "what is he gonna do now?" fighter. Damn, Im going to see something special tonight!. He cant provide those because he doesnt have the stand up skills to do so. Nor can he pull off submissions ala Hazelett.

He will meet a guy who he cannot take down believe that! You bet Alves is working on his TD Defense. Speaking of Alves, thats a guy where you can see, hmmm this kids interesting, he has that explosive quality, maybe not as refined or fine tuned as A. Silva nd Machida (who I think are both tops skillwise and will change the game). But he has something.

GSP does what works and he is incredibly good at it. Why should he be a "what is he gonna do now" fighter when what he does works so well.
And I'm sure Alves is practicing his takedown defense. As I'm sure BJ did, and Jon Finch did, and Koeschek did, and Serra, did, etc, etc.

BJ was **** in the fight, no excuses. GSP is just not capable of seeing the fight the way Anderson Silva sees it. You think Rich Franklin has a weak chin or Leben, he will finish you because to him you are moving in slow motion and is not capable of palying in the same level. Thats why they interviewed A Silva (sportsnet) before the fight and it was hilarious. He was asked whats his opinions of both as p4p contenders..He said flat out he wasnt impressed by neither of these guys. He cant see anything special. After tonight I agree with him...I was hoping for an explosion fight of the decade ****..Please. Did you see how Machida moved and dismantled that undefeated Thiago? Even Jon Jones on Bonnar, we were like Holy ****!! This is the new breed

Silva might want to check out his own performance against Patrick Cote before he starts calling others "not impressive!"

And the only reason you didn't see an explosive fight of the decade was because GSP was so much better than Penn. Perhaps he should have dumbed down his performance a bit so the fight was more even, and thus more entertaining?
You're asking St. Pierre to adhere to standard that can't possibly be met.

This kind of response was totally expected, They act as if BJ didn't do ****. Well they don't have half a brain to realize that maybe it was because of what GSP waa doing. The fight went as exactly as expected and the excuses are exactly as expected also.....Some people just don't know any better.

Pathetic fight, 25 minutes of hug fest! GSPs should've stopped him, Penn gassed out after 5 minutes

GSP is both bigger and better. And the fight lasted 20 minutes not 25.

thought it was a great fight though was supporting GSP.

Cant imagine BJ didnt train properly despite the UFC preview programme and the whole vacation thing. I mean you got a rematch against a controversial decision; you call a guy a quitter and you talk about fighting to the death then im guessing you train properly.

Cant call GSP boring he went in used his head and dominated. Im sure he can knock people out but BJ can take punishment. Anyway i think making BJ quit after comments made was a good result.

Think with the Machida win and the GSP win it was a win for the intelligent fighters and im happy with that.
