Trounced?? Soundly beaten yes but not dismantled, submitted or koed unconscious. You make it sound like it was a Silva/Franklin kind of demolition...GSP is not capable of that.

If you werent nuthuggin GSP so much. If you notice that Penn was done after the 1st round... Whos fault is that?? PENN!! not GSP.. Any normal fighter will still have some energy to fight at least 2 more rounds. It wasnt like GSP threw Penn like a rag doll and abused him in round one. Round one was almost a draw and BJ was done. This has more to do with BJ than GSP. GSP did no damage at all to Penn in rd 1 and Penn was gassed. Thats BJs fault he was gassed. Its a huge problem that he has

GSP is absolutely the reason BJ gassed, no question. He forced him to fight at his pace. When BJ dictates the pace, he's fine...when somebody else does, he's ****ed.

Damn...didn't see the fight but was hoping BJ would have won. Sounds like the size and strenght was just too much. It was clear GSP was the stronger, bigger guy but I thought BJ was by far a better technician on the ground and feet to be able to combat the size disparity. Guess I was wrong. Love BJ and I do like George but it just goes to show you a Great BIG man will always be a GREAT small man.

What do you mean "done after the 1st round"? I didn't see the fight but it sounds like BJ wasn't in shape or something? Are you kidding me? I hope that is not the case b/c that would be a damn shame. The UFC build up to the fight mentioned that BJ may have been slacking but BJ killed all that noise with a lot of venom being tossed at Dana for questioning him. You can't fight a guy like George out of shape....that's for sure.

Georges wore him out by pressing him up against the fence and clinching him the entire first round. BJ stuffed all takedown attempts in the first, and then Georges got him down in the 2nd....and kept him there. Georges is just so strong, having to hold him off wears BJ out, he can't do it. :deal

Anyone who picked BJ over GSP. Are you serious?? Have you even watched MMA over the last 3-4 years? Penn's on the down and GSP keeps getting better.

    You crazy crazy guys.
