Id like to see BJ step it up. He csn clearly beat the b level opposition, but against a complete fighter is another story.

Footage before the Lemieux fight was a disinterested BJS.

The first time he's with the perfect trainer/gym setup he completely schools a top 10 guy.

BJS brings attributes that cause any MW problems.

I agree, very overrated fighter. Decent B level middleweight. Not elite level by any stretch.

His style is to hit and run. Nothing is so special about him. He's good at making his opponents frustrate but he cares nothing about boxing fans. I watched his last fight and didn't impress anything he did in the ring at all. He's so damn boring IMO.
I wanna watch the boxer who comes to fight not to run like hell as he does.

BJS vs Lara, can you imagine how boring is it gonna be?
    I would rather watch MMA.

BJS is a loudmouthed, arrogant, wanker POS who I want and desire to be KTFO....the sooner the better.

However He's a decent boxer. His win over Lee impressed me although minus the knock downs he loses that fight. Also not fan friendly....despite running off his mouth constantly he does move a bit too much and not just to "hit and not get hit" but to run too much.

He'll get Bolivianized sooner rather than later but he'll enjoy it while he can. Rumble young man Rumble.

BJ Saunders is good but not great. Imo his only chance to beat GGG, Canelo, or Jacobs is too pot shot his way to victory which imo is unlikely to happen.

I think all three are capable of putting a beating on him.

Boxing, in the most simple layman terms is "Hit and not get hit".
In this sport, avoiding punches is just as important as landing them.

The thing is, it's these 'boring' boxers which actually beat the so called 'entertainers' when they fight.

If you want to watch a 'fight', go and watch MMA.

'Boxing fans' respect the art and skill of boxing......

The greatest name in the sport's tagline, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee", perfectly sums up what this sport is all about.

A guy like Wilder is a 'great entertainer' because of the combination of his strengths and weaknesses.
He would trade this 'Fan friendly' style for Lewis's jab and Ali's footwork every day of the week. He'd love to be more 'boring'.

Saunders can box.................he would beat Charlo and he would easily beat the cripple that made Charlo mandatory and he would also knock out Pee Wee Herman (Centeno) who is very weak and fragile, his bones are extremly thin and could easily break at any time!

As always it depends on who's doing the rating.

I admit he looks a bit crude at times, but there's no denying he gets the job done and has done so against a strong array of opponents of varying stylistic hues. His lack of polish is made up for with a fine jab, excellent timing and great shot selection, and a sort of off beat rhythm and movement that can befuddle fighters and leave them open to attack from diverse angles. He's also got a hell of a lot of moxy, which means he'll be very hard to intimidate.

Personally I think he's a top class 160lber, based mostly on his strong resume and body of achievements at both amateur and professional level. He's not unbeatable, but he has the capability to give anyone at 160 a hard time.

Saunders is real good, always has been but lacked the tank/discipline. I do think he's being a little overstated by some though. I like Lemmy but he is tailor made for Saunders style wise. He wasn't overly impressive against Monroe really but Monroe was there to spoil.

Ideally GGG sacks Canelo off and looks to unify instead. Doubt it though.

Let me tell you something man, the boxers who have the style of fighting that you described above are out of work right now and they are starving to death. Rigondeaux and Lara are the best examples of what I'm talking about and BJS is going to end up the same way as both boxers. A few people want to pay their money to watch them. Promoters don't wanna risk to lose their profits promoting their fights. The compassity crowd will give them booh.....every round and walk out of the arena before the end of the fight. Most importantly, a few fighters wanna fight them because they run away like hell all night. When these things I mentioned above happen they will get no payment and change their boxing career to do something else finally. I think that you have seen something like I said above before, haven't you? Most boxing fans wanna have fun watching exciting matches and fun fights. I'm not saying that fighters will have to kill each other in the ring or fighting toe to toe all the time or throwing thousand of punches per round since I'm not that sadist.
BTW, "float like a butter fly and sting like a bee" was Ali but he could entertain boxing fans a lot by his style unlike those 3 boring boxers I mentioned above.
