Pikey is a racist term. Gypsys and Travellers are recognized as ethnic groups.
Islam isn't a race, that's true, but Galahad is being identified here as a muslim because of his ethnic/cultural background and nationality/origin, surely not because of his religious beliefs (if he has any) or adherence to any specific tenets of Islam.

"Race" is an imprecise concept. "Jew" was primarily a religious designation too. Didn't stop a load of racists cramming a few million of them into gas chambers, did it. For an example.

Not that I want to debate this stuff. It's pretty clear cut in my eyes.

Exactly this is the whole point.

Surely strong and empowered people of all backgrounds, don’t need to play the victim to get ahead or feel some self esteem.

It’s the victim mentality mindset that is setting up the current generation of youngsters for failure. They are so fragile that when they hit real world issues they breakdown and can’t cope.

There was a classic case of this the other day as I was hearing a guy in his early 20s balling his eyes out on the train, on the phone to his mother, because his new job wasn’t going well. I kid you not at one point he referred to using a “safe space”.

Very sad. Don’t be a victim, be a winner!!!
