Well for what its worth, the 10th is one of the 3 I gave Canelo. I'm sure IB will eventually get back to you. And this one'll have to do. This content is protected
Yeah I saw your scorecard and it was fascinating to see which rounds you gave to Canelo, some of which I gave to Floyd. Lets be clear : there's nothing OK about giving Floyd the 10th round for starters. I mean, there's no way he won that round, and I'm happy to debate this with you. The fact that you gave Canelo other rounds that I gave to Floyd means that between us we have enough rounds to have it even closer than 116-112 so I mean we really need to go through these rounds to get to some kind of a consensus on how many rounds he won.
I've went through this video and though it's very useful for the alternate camera angle, but it only shows bits and pieces of some of the rounds and I can't remember if it actually shows the full 10th. The full fight footage disappearing from the internet is very telling in my opinion, footage of this bout seems to have become a rare commodity. Something will need to be done about it, and what I'm trying to figure out is how IB and others know what happened in the rounds if the footage of the bout is nowhere to be found.
I initially gave the 10th to Canelo, then switched it to Mayweather, I go back and forth, I think I scored it the other way the last time I saw it. Rounds 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12 were all close, a few could go either way, but for all 6 to be scored to Canelo, is kind of crazy. As far as what he was watching when he rescored it, Showtime Extreme was running a replay of it.
On page 3 of this thread it says that you gave Mayweather the 10th but gave Canelo the 9th and the 11th. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ay-on-showtime-extreme-10pm-est.565108/page-3 I gave Mayweather the 9th and the 11th but gave Canelo the 10th. I agree they were all relatively close. Most of the rounds in the bout were relatively close and could be argued for either fighter. In fact, the only round that Floyd won clearly was the 7th. Pretty much most of the rounds in the fight could be argued for either fighter.
Round 6 was extremely close, I actually scored that round even. I watched it several times and couldn't decide who won it. Round 5 I thought was relatively close, but felt confident giving that one to Floyd. Round 8 was very close for the first 2 minutes, then Floyd took over in the final minute and did what he had to do to win the round. But after the first 2 minutes, I thought Canelo was slightly ahead.
Quite, this seems to be lost on some folk, didn’t Saunders once say GGG beats both him and Eubank in one night.
lol some of these comments are laughable. I mean even CST80, whom I respect and is very reasonable, saying " Saunders schools Canelo "? I mean whether Saunders would have a chance vs Canelo, that's debatable, but to say matter of factly that Saunders would school Canelo, I mean I just don't see how anyone could make such a bold prediction. Saunders looked good vs Lemmy, but Lemmy did not fight a smart fight at all. It was pretty much target practice. Lemmy is a big puncher, and can be dangerous given the right opponent, but he's nowhere near the level of a Canelo Alvarez, and if you think Saunders is going to handle Canelo like he did Lemieux, I mean you're in for a big surprise. Much like Golovkin fans who boldly predicted Triple G would knockout or dominate Canelo were in for a rude awakening when Canelo thoroughly outboxed and outclassed Golovkin on Sept 16th. Would Saunders have a chance of beating Canelo? I mean, anything's possible, but Saunders has never fought anyone like a Canelo Alvarez and Saunders would have his hands full if he had to step in the ring with Canelo. Canelo, Golovkin and Jacobs each bring something different to the table, and each fighter presents distinct challenges for a guy like Saunders, but the idea that somehow Golovkin and Jacobs are much tougher opponents for Saunders than Canelo is patently absurd. I mean, based on what we've seen and the level of opposition from each, Canelo is definitely the hardest to hit of the 3, and the best hand speed out of the 3, and is the most athletic of the 3, and has the best defense, and has the most upper body movement. Some of these comments regarding Canelo are so over the top it's hard to tell if posters are really being serious when they talk about Canelo. I read a comment that said that Saunders would win every round vs Canelo but it would still be a draw and stuff like that, I mean how delusional does someone have to be to make a comment like that. It just amazes me how detached from reality some fans on here are as it relates to all things Canelo. But all this will just make it that much more entertaining if and when some of these fights end up happening.
It could even have. But I have my doubts on BJS' consistency. He reached a very high level vs Lemieux. But can he sustain it? That's the true mark of a champion.
Saunders will not school Golovkin, in fact, Golovkin would cut off the ring and hurt Saunders, Golovkin has the wrong style for Saunders. Saunders would beat Charlo, Jacobs, probably out point El Pollo, except Oscar's judges would have El Pollo winning every round, Byrd would be there for protection!
This. I would of thought by now people would appreciate just how good Canelo is. Canelo doesn't get schooled vs anyone right now. His a terrific fighter. Whether one believed he lost vs GGG is irrelevant as what cant be denied is he fought a damn good fight and proved many doubters wrong who seemed to think he would get beat inside 5 rounds. In regard to BJS this is again posters on this forum going way overboard after one fight. It always happens. If a fighter wins and puts in a great performance suddenly they are unbeatable. If a fighter loses suddenly they are finished. There is very little middle ground on here.
