BJS - I'm ready to fight Golovkin...

BJS is very skillful & a better boxer than Brook, Brook , as we saw gave GGG trouble with his movement...Jacobs would be an easier fight than BJS...I guess GGG will win but might be made to look a bit sloppy.

 

According to the phone interview, BJS is ready to fight after his upcoming TBA fight next month. That means that the GGG fight wouldn't happen until Jan/Feb 2017 earliest. But I bet GGG would be willing to fight him on the Klitschko undercard in 45 days, if BJS agreed to it.

 

Would make for an ATG card, but where does the money come from to make this one.

 

yeah, I know, the financials would be tricky. But maybe just to get the damn WBO belt, K2/GGG accepts peanuts for themselves, and pays BJS $2.5M to make this happen. I'm pretty sure GGG would personally be ready for a fight end of October, as he loves fighting frequently.

 

Can't see BJS accepting a smaller purse than Brook...he is in no rush.

 

Bjs struggled with Lee, didn't even give him a rematch. He wouldn't do much better than Brook. Eubank Jr beats him the 2nd time around. He's abit crafty, decent power, but that's all. Canelo and Lara beat him too.

 

Pretty sure Brook got a guarantee of like $3 mil plus a healthy PPV split which is said to be close to another mil, possibly even 1.5 mil.
4-4.5 mil is the kind of money that Saunders is hinting around to when he's saying he saw what he needed to in regards to the Brook fight.
My guess is he found out what the PPV brought in and thought..... to hell with my 0 and began thinking of all the 0's following that 5.

 

Problem is that Saunders is not with Eddie Hearn and as such not on Sky Box Office. The numbers simply do not add up to bring GGG back here and put the fight on BoxNation. This fight would have to be in the US and therefore BJS would demand a big payday. That is what is holding this deal up. If GGG's team want the belt that much, they will have to pay a lot for it.

 

If GGG can get Jacobs or Lara on NBC primetime, and draw 5-6 million views, maybe HBO will make a PPV date for the spring, possibly even putting on a Canelo v Heiland and GGG vs Saunders, PPV card, giving Canelo and Heiland 10 mil and GGG and BJS 10 mil and building the mega fight for the fall.

If Canelo vs Smith doesnt do 400K in the US next week.....GBP will be forced to work together with K2 in the spring, and what better way than to put them together on a PPV so all parties involved(except Heiland LOL) get paid.

 

Describing Canelo as a, "purebred ginger-headed shitter" is probably quote of the year for me.

 

Saunders can't demand what Brook got paid.

Realistically a fight between BJS and GGG doesn't draw the money GGG v Brook did.
